Okay, I just started reading it yesterday I'm on 235 so far. The Shining is a book by Stephen King, and one of his best. I was wondering if any one else here has read it. If you haven't I'll post the summary if you're intrested.......

The OverLook Hotel is more than just a home-away-from-home for the Torrance family. For Jack, Wendy, and their young son, Danny, it is a place where the past horrors come to life. And where those gifted with The Shining do battle with the darkest evils.

So I want to know if you're intrested or have read it. If you have how was it? Scary enough for me? xD it takes a lot to scare me. Well I've already been scared by this book. How? Well I had Danny's nightmare last night and I wondered how he'd be able to get out of bed in the morning. When my dad came in I was sitting against the wall with blood shot eyes xD

I've read the book and watched the movie, both I thought were very creepy. Great performances by all the actors, in my opinion; who could forget Jack Nicholson half-posessed and ready to axe Shelley Duvall's bugeyes.

Another worthy book/movie I would suggest is Misery, though I do like King's collaborative work with Peter Straub entitled "The Talisman".

    Oh **** yes.

I loved that book, it's one of King's best. One of the scariest, too.

They changed a lot in the movie, though. D:

Loved the movie, but I haven't read any Stephen King books yet. Maybe I'll be less lazy for this one.

Loved the book, one of my favourite of his, gives me chills, but I hated the film, bored me to tears.

Finish the book before you watch the film, or you'll end up ruining it for yourself.
