I have no idea why I haven't made a topic for this movie yet. It is my current addiction and one of my favorite movies. The movie was directed by Michel Gondry, who is responsible for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Be Kind, Rewind. It is literally a kaleidoscope of a movie. The movie is centered around Stéphane, a man who is persuaded to move back to France with his mother after the death of his father. Stéphane is wildly creativity, however he distorts reality with his dreams. He injures his hand helping a few men carry a piano up the stairs of his apartment building and soon meets two women: Zoé, who he is initially attracted to and Stéphanie. Throughout the movie he comes to realize his feelings for Stéphanie, who is just as creative as him but has no interest in being in a relationship. It's just such a childishly broken movie throughout, but at the end it's just so sweet and memorable. It almost makes me cry. The movie is predominantly in French and English, however I think there's some Spanish in there. Edit: I should probably mention that the movie is rated R, but it's nothing big. There are a few suggestive comments, but it's nothing worse than you'll hear in a middle school. There's brief nudity as well, but it's usually a very fast scene and easy to miss.
Is that the movie in both your sig and avatar? ;D It sounds good, I'll have to check it out. I've been meaning to go get some movies anyway so I'll definitely watch this. Thanks for the synopsis on it! :3
Yes, it is. It honestly is like indescribably beautiful. I love the "one-second time machine" part. :3
