Ok, i'm not sure if anyone else has done an olympic thread but I couldn't find any and was kinda surprised at that. If it's done, get a staff and delete.

Anyway, The olympic games at Beijing, China is starting. It has been a very unsettling time in China with recent events with Earthquakes and Tibet but still it will go on with all its glory.

So anyone watching it and supporting your team?
What do you think about the recent events that have lead up to Olympics in China?
Should they concentrate more on Earthquake victims? Or Tibets freedom?

it's a hard question for some...
i think they should try and save as many victims from the earthquake as first and foremost...
when it have been dealt with they should try to get shelter for all of the surviving...

I did start a thread in the old Sports section but it kind of died off.

I'm excited but i'll be unable to watch the opening ceremonies this evening due primarily to work.

I'm rooting for Deron Williams, Carlos Boozer, Andrew Bogut and Andre Kirilinko for their respected basketball teams.
