This was an awesome movie. Who else liked it? Did you think it was scary? Or just sad?

I think it was scary at times, but overall very sad. I mean, it's sad that a mother would be forced to drown her 10 year old daughter that she had wanted more than anything in the world in a well.

    Your thoughts?

    Not really scary to me.
But some parts did catch me.
I think it's sad too,her mother didn't need to kill her like that.
    I felt bad for her.
If her mom didn't want her, take her back to the orphanige(sp) where you got her.

Um, I've never seen the American version. I've only watched the original Japanese cut. Though I hear they're very different...

I thought it was a very good film ^^ it was quite sad true, and the psychology of it was what can only be described as wow!

It was also the first horror that has ever got to me! I watch a lot of films and most of them are horrors but none have ever gotten to me before this film, the bit at the end really shook me up! To the extent that I still can't watch that bit now :o I thought it sad her mom felt she had to do that, but then what other real choice did she have? she had to sacrifice her daughter to stop the evil, it was just unfortunate it didn't work :(.

    Very good film!

OT: When I watched it it was at my older sisters house, during the night the power went off and anyone who has a DVD player will know that when the power goes and then comes back whatever is in the DVD player will start! So I woke up in the mddle of the night with her frickin face staring at me from across the room!:eek::eek::eek: SCARED THE **** OUT OF ME!

At the time! It was not awesome! I nearly died of a heart attack -_- lol I can laugh about it now though! ^^

They are very different! I've watched both and the storylines are not overly similar, it's hard to explain and they are both good in different ways! I found the American one had more of an impact though! You should watch both versions ^^

i think the movie is really good overall...the second was...ñyeh, it was okay, but the first was awesome!! scary + sad = movie too cool to be...to be...ummm...its really cool!! but its really sad that her mom drowned her...seriously, i think i cried in that part...

it left me tramautized though!! i cant see the pictures, or little videos, or anything cause my eyes get watery, which happens when i talk about it too :o...i know - IM PATHETIC lol...
