The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus:Lonely Road

Yes, I bought the CD.

The CD is decent, 7/10 so far. There are about two songs I don't like, but other than that I like it quite a bit.

Thoughts?

Lonely Road is really disappointing after Don't You Fake It. The songs are just too poppy and lack the passion present in the first album. Not one song on the album has screaming, nor do any have heavy guitar riffs or drum beats that you can really get into. I've only found 2 songs worth liking on it, "You Better Pray" and "Godspeed", and both sound very far from the band's original sound, which worked.

 

I actually don't like "You Better Pray" but "Godspeed" is good. Overall, your opinion basically covers mine. I was disappointed, but I'm starting to like it a bit more now.

 

I mainly just like the beginning of You Better Pray mainly because of how high he's singing and the screaming part.

 

I like it. Not my favorite cd in the world but it's ok. I like Pull Me Back.
