Sounds a lot like the reason Capcom Nippon decided not to bring anymore Sengoku BASARA titles overseas. Something along the lines of 'the West does not appreciate this franchise'. When it was mostly the fault of Capcom USA mucking things up by doing two things. 1) Devil Kings. They pretty much tried to make it into a DMC clone to cash in on the hype of that franchise. 2) Not advertising Sengoku BASARA 3: Samurai Heroes which meant that hardly no one knew about it. Yeah, I'm not surprised really.
