Kingdom Hearts II The Power of the Nobody.

This maybe be dissappointing on how this can't be explained. Perhaps it maybe to some of your folks but to get us started instead of getting off topic.... ahem:

How does the Memory-Manifested Nobody not only become manifested by darkness, but how they recieve there frightening and terrible powers, that everyone must be vigilant?

After a Discussion in "The Nobody" Do you every wonder, and theorize how the Organization XIII and the Lesser Nobodies recieved there powers? Perhaps from the Heartless? Or to some event where they Died and lost there heart, they fell to there doom into a certain element?

 

Yeah, the other topic was getting a bit... off topic....

Well, anyway... I think that the Nobodies (Organization XIII included) got their powers when they became Nobodies. Because there aren't people in KH running around with control over fire or lightining or water. And the lesser Nobodies have powers too. Twilight Thorn being the most prominent example.

As for how the Nobodies attained their power... I'm not sure. Maybe it comes from darkness. And since Nobodies are between dark and light, they can use the power of darkness without being consumed by it.

And that would mean that if any members of Organization XIII became human again, they would lose their powers. And possibly their awesome weapons.

 

When the Nobody is formed, it is of Darkness, but also to exist probably requires an element that is a part of nature, so they can well, belong at all. If they were just of Darkness they probably could not exist.

So to me, the reason they get the element linked to them as well is more a matching of their soul and personality. But it is also what makes them 'twilight' beings instead of just Darkness, so that they can wander as they will and be around. All of their personalities if you think on it very well matched the elements they were tied with. Axel and fire, I couldn't see him without it. Larxene and lightning...she was fast, decisive and fluid in wit as well as in ability. Lexaeus and earth, he was very solid in build, and also a pillar of calmness mostly but knew how to kick up and be tough and do things. I don't think they had the elements prior to becoming Nobodies but they matched those elements by their own very natures and strong wills. The lesser Nobodies didn't really end up with Elemental abilities or whole 'bodies' because their hearts and souls were weaker, but they did seem to emulate the higher Nobodies' abilities to some degree.

That would be my take on why they have the powers they do.

 

Tell me if I'm misinterpreting what you're trying to say, but I think what you're saying is that Organization XIII has their powers because they wouldn't fit into nature if they were completely darkness. Which isn't true, because of the Heartless.

I do agree about the personalities, though. All of Organization XIII matches up well with their elements, even if they can't feel true emotions. *Idea meteor hits.* Wait... what if it's like their powers replace their emotions? Because Nobodies don't have real personalities, they take on the element that best represents what they were like when they were Somebodies.

 

I rather agree with your idea about their elements being a way to compensate for their inability to feel......

However I believe in many ways that the last thing a Nobody predominantly touches/comes into contact with and REMEMBERS is what gives birth to their weapon and element......

IE: Xemnas - remembers primarily nothing, but he knows for a fact that he has power, his element is the most adaptable and terrible in that sense
Xigbar - his personality is mocking and that of a trickster (he also probably died while having guns on his person) so it makes sense that his power revolves around an ability that can be easily manipulated

and so forth....

(I also say this because Demyx can't play a sitar for jack...and it only had three freaking strings....I bet he was a farm-boy or something who loved to play music but wasn't very good at it)

 

Well the point with the heartless is they aren't supposed to be out where people are and they also are not sentient. They are base intelligence of 'feed me hearts' and that's what they go and do. A strong willed person can control them but without that control, they move on going after Hearts. Xehanort's Heartless was different, but I have theories on why that is. He's kind of the exception. People point out how special 'Sora' was, but even he was losing his memory etc and slipping as he was going to find Kairi and she's the one who pulled him back.

With the Nobodies, they have minds and souls. Basically because their hearts are gone, I think the Elements match up more with their souls. The heartless wouldn't have been there had Xehanort not brought them through. However, the Nobodies could go around at will. This is kinda hard to explain. I'll write it out better when I'm more alive to present for an opinion.

 

I wonder if a nobody becomes whole again, do they keep their powers?

 

To put it simply, I don't think so. See my first post if you want more detail, because that's pretty much the explaination, and I don't want to type all of it again. :P

 

You know, that is a REALLY GOOD QUESTION, maybe they symbiosised with some of the Heartless or something of that sort, I don't know.
