Has anyone else seen this film. I am in need of reading the book now because I was just amazed by it. I was glad it wasn't your average teenage romance film where unpopular boy loves popular girl, this film actually had more substance to it. My two friends were in tears throughout the film and I did get a lump in my throat xD I thought it was full of beautiful performances as well and the ideas and themes within were brilliant. I think it's a film that everyone can relate to on some level and I fully recommend going to watch it. Anyone else seen it? What are your thoughts?
I WANT TO SEE THIS SO BAD OH MY GOD. I read the book two years ago and sgamdhseh it was so beautiful. I'm normally turned off by the narrative structure the book used, but it blew me away. Charlie's interactions with everyone and how he related to the world were wonderful. And I lovelovelove the inclusion of music and the Rocky Horror Picture Show. It was just really great, and I've been super excited about this movie forever. ;__;
Awww cool! I haven't heard about the book or movie but now I'm super interested. It looks like such a great movie from the trailer :3, always love feel-goods. What I like is how it doesn't seem so typical or cliche. Definitely checking out the book sometime.
I watched the film a few weeks ago; IT WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Like Plums, I read the book 2 years ago. I was a 11 at the time I didn't really fully understand some parts... but it was beautiful nonetheless. Though Charlie's Christmas/Birthday with his family didn't make it, some new parts got added that wasn't stated in the book (eh, I won't spoil it). But I suggest to go read the book first because some parts won't really make sense in the movie. I heard the people behind me complaining, "What did his Aunt Helen do?" aloud. I had to resist the urge to shout at them. But, yeah, it's awesome.
