The Pain When You're Gone

My world was so bright when I was with you
You were the only one who made me laugh, smile
I always wished we would never part ways

Now, far away from you, my heart is crying in pain
In this new place, with unfamiliar faces and places
I've become a lost wolf, without you to guide me
To take my hand

On the last day we were together,
As you walked toward your house
I counted the final steps I saw

When I left, the face I knew so well started to vanish
My heart cried secretly, I showed happiness to my family
Just to hide my sorrow

Please, help me remember
Remember the times we'd spent together
The moments we had
And erase this pain when you were gone​

A poem I made, telling my sadness when I had to leave someone special a few years ago. A friend I made in fourth grade, we'd eat at lunch and talk. I really miss him! TT-TT

 

Oh, it's tough when a good friend moves away. Do you still talk to this person? I hope you were able to keep in touch, becuase judging by this poem you missed them very much. Great job.
