Kingdom Hearts II The No-Doing-Anything File Challenge!

As people complain and complain about how easy KH2 is even on Standard Mode, I decided to spice the game up a little bit and match it up with KH2FM+ as best as I can. It's a "challenge" to see if anyone can beat the game following these rules:

1.) Game must be on Proud Mode
2.) NO opening any treasure chests, and yes, that includes the ones that contain Summons, maps, Keyblades, and Torn Pages.
3.) NO using any items such as Potions (including Tents, AP boosts, and other items that raise your stats)
4.) You MUST use the Kingdom Key or Sweet Memories for the whole entire game, and you cannot equip any accessories or armor. This applies to Donald and Goofy as well, or any other party members (of course, using their default weapon).
5.) NO training, (that means no fighting period) unless it's one of those fights where... they make you fight...
6.) NO leveling up forms... but I guess that also goes with no training.
7.) NO completing any quests in Jiminy's Journal, as you may be rewarded with something.


You may do whatever you want as long as it's not any of these... of course you can heal!!!
... I was afraid one of you was going to ask that...

I managed to beat the whole game (except Sephiroth) following these guidelines... let's see how far you get! Post your progress here!

O_o woah that sounds very difficult, I'll have to try it. ^_^ I didn't find the game that easy but this should be entertaining.

 

Sounds easy I'll do it it may take more than 27 hours though

 

Isn't that "Can also use Sweet Memories" conflicting with the "No Torn Pages" challenge? Either way, it's definitely sounding like one of those difficult challenges. A lot of boss fights are basically centered around form skills, and Abilities. Which reminds me, what about a "No Abilities" to tack on there?
It'd make fights much more frantic (like Axel's) since some battles are heavy damage inducers, and things like Second Chance are basically the only savior you've got. Though, that borders the line of too hard, but then again, those people are looking for a challenge anyway.

And Synthesizing also has to be taken into account, as things like Ability Up, HP Up, and those can be made through it. And if it's Proud Mode only, then KH2FM+ would be ideal, since it has the no experience Ability, and thus fights aren't really training, but just item collecting.
I dunno, I'd just so much as to call it the "Back to Basics" challenge, and give players the luxury of whatever the game starts you with, and nothing else.

 

Considering what Bariyou said, maybe we should have one of these challenges on KH2FM so we do Critical Mode and use the EXP 0. Or do we already have one of those?

 

Well one thing: Can you use drives in boss fights? If not then this is pathetic. Is yes then I'll keep going. Also, Using Kingdom Key throughout the whole game isn't that hard. I've done it for a long time. Also, If we can use Drives for Boss battles, then can we change those keyblades? Are we allowed to use Mickey if we die? Answer please.

 

as i've said, you can do anything as long as you're not breaking the guidelines. That means you may use drives on boss fights, Rey Alejandro. As for the Sweet Memories thing I guess that you may open chests that you KNOW have a torn page in it. but whatever other items you obtain in the 100 Acre Woods you must sell. sell every item that can be sold and when you get a new party member, take off their items and sell those. you may not synthesize (but hey, what items can you get without fighting?)

sorry i didn't make all that clear in the previous post. and for those of you asking why we don't just do a KH2FM+ challenge, this is for the people who don't own the game. Sadly, i don't either, so this is about as close as i can get to it :(

 

This is a brilliant premise... though I unfortunately can't participate, since I have no PlayStation... :( I am going to pass this challenge on to a friend who does... Nice idea, AznRicyBoy!

 

Eh, I already did something like this a while back. I decided to make it harder by only using the Kingdom Key...

... but that's it... I didn't add any off that fancy stuff... or lack there of, I guess...

yes, you may use drives, yes you can change the keyblades for drive forms, and yes, if you die, you can use Mickey. Like i said, you can do anything you want as long as you follow the guidelines at the top.

Not really. It's still easy. The lowest defulat level you can beat the game at on proud is 36, and to do that you pretty much have to follow these guidelines at the top. I've done that, and beaten Sephiroth. I've also done it with no abilities but it's boring as hell.

What about that chest you HAVE to open on the 3rd day as Roxas?

 

people... please use your imagination about items that you HAVE to obtain... I already explained to sell them, but since you can't sell items with Roxas, what do you do? you just don't use the item. It's that simple. Heck, you can open every single treasure chest in the game, but since the guidelines are that you can't use items, it's pretty useless...

I know about a kid who almost did that cause he didn't know how to equip stuff or potions.

 

try and add this as well 8.) you must fight sephiroth, but you cannot equip the keyblade he gives you

 

when i first played the game i didn't know about abilities and stuff.
i used no ap boosts or anything.

rarely used drive forms.

used kingdom key.

and beat the game on level 46. its easy.
