The story of David Rain, a young man in college, who rents a room in the Pennykettle home, Elizabeth(Liz); The red-headed mother who has everything just about under control and her daughter Lucy; a young blonde girl who loves Squirrels. There David is put into a lot of adventures, and learns the Pennykettle family secret; They're descendants of Dragons who once roamed the Earth. And as the story continues, David finds out a lot more of himself as well. Anyone else read it? I'm up to date right, having bought Fire World.
