I have a problem with the Kingdom Hearts series. It's never on one side of the console divide (Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, etc). On one hand, you've got KH1, Re:CoM, KH2, BbS, and the upcoming 1.5 Remix all on PS2, PSP, and PS3. On the other hand, you have CoM, Days, Re:Coded (Though it was originally on phones), and 3D. Now, what annoys me about this is that in the beginning, it was all about Sony. Now, in the past 2-3 years, Square Enix supported Nintendo. So, me being a Nintendo lover, decided to play 358/2 Days. And I loved it. Soon, I played Re:Coded, Chain of Memories, and 3D. I never got to play KH1-2 and BbS, so I just watched the cutscenes. I though Square Enix was gonna continue to be on the Nintendo path.

I was wrong. With the announcement of KH HD, I was excited. This would be my chance to experience KH1! Then I found out it was for PS3, and I cried a little on the inside. I can never afford both a PS3 and the upcoming Wii U, and I only had a few games that I wanted for PS3 (KH and Heavy Rain). Why can't Square Enix be either multi-platform or just stick to one side? They're losing fans already with waiting for Versus XIII to come out so development can start on KH III, why lose some more when they're switching back and forth? I'm sort of pissed that it looks like I won't be able to play KH III, but oh well. What do you think?

I like both Sony and Nintendo to be honest. What would REALLY piss me off is if they made a KH-exclusive game for the Xbox 360. Besides, you never know. KH3 could be a multiplatform game for all we know.

If they made an Xbox Kingdom Hearts, the world will blow up. And looking at Square Enix's history, it probably won't be multiplatform. The only notable game to be multiplatform are for FFXIII series.

OK, enough of the KH3 chit-chat. I'm still pretty mad that SE just can't stick to one thing. Thankfully, my stepsister has a PS3, so maybe I can steal borrow it for 1.5 and 2.5 Remix, + KH3 (If it's on there). Then I'll sell it on eBay for a ridiculously high price.

I feel your pain... however there is a necessity of "exclusive games/content" , why would some one buy a nintendo console whithout : Mario, Zelda, Pokemon?
The same here applys! The exclusive content is what make us custumers to chose a console over another (as the majority of people can't afford mutiple consoles, not to mention controlers and new games all very expensive!).

Square enix is a major Japonise producer, in Japan Xbox is the last sold console, Ps3 and Nintendos are kings in there, so It makes sense to them chose one of them to make games.
Multiplataform games have a HUGE problem, as You may or may not know Ps3 programing is waaaay harder than Wii and Xbox 360, generaly a game is made for one of these and than adapted to the other... and there is a catch in it, normaly the "adapted" version is lamer than the "original" (someone remembers Bayoneta?).

I just think that square enix did a serious mistake abandoning the Ps3 in favor of Nintendo 3ds/Ds as, the fandom were born in Playstation system to change it like this was a punch in the stomach! When you make something you become responsible for it! There was a spectation of the KH players that KH would stick in Playstation, I don't know how things are in japan, maybe everybody in there got both a ps3 and a Nintendo ds.. but it's not the case for most of the world.

Yet, the games that leaft Playstation are in their escensse "side games" and not truthly necessary to understanding the plot.. so they're somewhat excused.. They could have made the same **** that the folks over bethesda did... they launched Skyrim for ps3/Xbox360/Pc and then they said "We will not launch the Dlcs for ps3, as it is to hard D:".
That sure was lame! A problem of multiplataform yes... but it is not a excuse, they have a responsability to us ps3 gamers if they chosed to launched skyrim on it.

I think the logic behind it was that the series could reach a larger fanbase if it was across several platforms; for example, if the series stuck 100% to Sony, someone like you probably would have never played it--it's because there was a title on the Nintendo DS that you were exposed to it. In that sense, it's a great idea.

However, this is also extremely frustrating for any fan of the series, and makes it hard for anyone to remain a fan of the series. I haven't played a new Kingdom Hearts game since Re:Chain of Memories came out. I still really like the series and want to keep up with it, but it can be hard to retain interest when I'm not actually able to experience each title first-hand.

That said, I have a PS3 and would get a PS4 & a Vita before I got a WiiU & a 3DS, so I'm on the Sony side. P: Too poor to afford anything but one console and maybe a handheld.

Just to mention even though Nier had a Ps3 version and a 360 they were both "exclusives" as they were alternative versions of each other, in one you were a Young man, and in the other a middle agged man.

I agree with everything, I just wish that they make these final games multi-platform to make up for it. Make Kingdom Hearts for Wii U and make Dream Drop Distance for PS Vita. Then, make KH3 for Wii U and PS3/4, and everyone's happy.
