The Killers

I am really surprised that no one made a thread on The Killers. They've been out for a long time and they are still making albums. Discuss them, favorite songs, etc.

One question. When did they go from Rock music to alternative music.

 

Haven't they always been rock/alternative?....

I only really like their album Hot Fuss. Though I do love the song Uncle Johnny.

 

The only song I like from the Killers is Mr. Brightside.

I love that song though =D​

 

I always loved Mr. Brightside, When You Were Young, and more recently Human. Great songs.

It's like they went from hard rock to soft alternative.

 

I find them to be an interesting band with a lot of potential.

Their album Hot Fuss was really good. I'm a little dissapointed in their new stuff. Brandon Flowers has the right voice and he used it right on Hot Fuss but the new stuff to me, is obnoxious. He also seems less energetic in the new stuff if you compare Mr.Brightside to Human.

I still find The Killers to be one of my favorite bands.

 

Well Sam's Town was pretty good too, but that's not TOO recent. Sawdust was awful to me, but that's my opinion.

 

Did anybody hear about how Brandon Flowers was almost mauled by PETA for wearing that dress jacket with the feathers on it?

 

YOU SERIOUS! The one in the "Human" music video. It looked good on him with the desert scenery, but that's crazy. Did they dump blood on him like they do with everyone else?

 

I chuckled when I watched it on TV. Yeah it's the one from the "Human" music video. They protested for like a day or two then they quit becuase of security or something like that pushed them back.

 

I like them, but not so much after they turned alternative.....it doesn't work for me.

their latest album is really cool and interesting... of course, they play the single "Human" on the radio and in the clubs a lot, but the rest of the CD is good, too... almost as fun as some of their older stuff.

 

I was listening to Human and Spaceman recently (alot) and I'm pretty sure that they're my new favorite songs.

Again, it's not hard rock, it's soft alternative now.
