The key blades shape

Alright I wasn't sure were to put this but i hope i made a reasonable choice.

I realize that most of you guys probably already knew about this but its new to me ( So please don't bite my head off )

Okay a few days ago i realized that the original keyblade (Sora's) has the shape of Sora's necklace in the blade.

If you don't get it I will explain it further,at end of the key blade that points away from the wielder there is the notched piece that enters the keyhole first.
I used to think that it was just a random notching but then i realized that it is actually the shape of Sora's necklace that is missing from it (When i say missing I don't mean it was meant to be there)

I now realize that this isn't really the true keyblades form but a variation molded for Sora.

So now I ask is this common knowledge? Am i saying something everyone already knows?

And what does this mean exactly for the keyblade and for the impression i was under that It was the original.

Please share your thoughts and feel free to tell me i"m a bit slow

Yes the indent shaped like a crown is common knowlage.. at least to me.

The keyblades I don't belive were molded for sora, since mickey has the same one. Plus in the original kh2 secret ending which was ment to be 10 years previous to the main storyline the keyblade is still there, and it was ment to be for riku.. so yeah.
I think the designers just made it match.

 

Wow, i just caught on to that last week when i was playing......i kind of amused myslef when i Noticed it.........

 

um im not 100% sure but yes i noticed that too but I think it is in its original form

 

I noticed it the first time I played KH, it took me a few worlds but after I noticed Sora's necklace I immediately noticed the resemblance.

I think the designers just made it as a goose egg or just something to amuse the characters

Yes an Easter Egg.

A few other Keyblades do that too. THey use the negative space to make something (the dark keyblade's makes a heart)

Ha! as usual it seems im the last one in the loop, I did notice the dark keyblades heart as lilbueno noted, I think he might be right in saying it was just a easter egg by the designers. But I would like to think it runs deeper then a simple design choice.

 

I think they were just trying to be neat with the design.

I notice it too now! Actually, I read a bit about Birth By Sleep and each of the main characters has their own keyblade with it's own name. I think those are molded from personality.
Also, it might be a variation molded from sora because Xigbar said "The others were twice the hero..." Or something like that, which means the keyblade goes person to person and changing appearance depending on the user.
