(Well, I'm posting a story here. Do not be surprised if I drop this, though.) ENTRIES March 5, 1929 March 5, 1929 I do believe my plans are complete. My intense lust for this project, this madman’s science, has finally come to a close. Project Alpha is finally in working order, and once again, I, Dr. Geoffrey Walter, shall finally be New York’s most acknowledged scientist. It was quite odd, really. When the National Cybernetics Institution discovered my patent, they were thrilled and required me to keep this journal for details on my work. Those callous and bewildered bigwigs gave me a date of October 24, 1929 for myself to finish my work on Project Alpha. Thankfully I have more than enough time. Quite a bother, this dirty old journal is. At times I do think the fools at the Institution simply gave me this yellow-paged monstrosity to slow me down on my progress, for I am supposed to detail every single thing done in my time with Project Alpha. Along with the due date for Project Alpha, I am supposed to hand in this journal. I’ll probably put in a few cockroaches between the pages for a surprise if they stay this annoying. It is already 2:30 AM. I should be fast asleep in the comfy bed near my workshop, but the constant noise of construction of that Chrysler Building is keeping me ridiculously awake. I’ve noticed that people all around the city are still going on and on about Herbert Hoover’s recent inauguration as the president of this country. I shall simply make myself a quick turkey sandwich and check on Project Alpha. Ugh.
