Square-Enix The Game With No Name

Square Enix is coming out with another original title for the DS known as The Game With No Name. The game is considered to be cursed and within a week of playing the game, you will die.
Plot: Your friend disappears after delivering a game and you go into his house to explore and find out what happened.
The game is held like a book, like in the game Hotel Dusk. There is 3D sound effects, so headphones are necessary to get that "full experience." And it is obviously a horror title.
It comes out July 3rd in Japan. No word yet on any NA or European release dates.

So is The World Ends With You, but with the success that game had, I have high expectations for this one.

for a minute there i thought you were talking about the film Stay Alive...or whatever it was called.

Sounds very interesting, i'll have to keep this one on the radar.

 

Seems fun. And I wonder if the game will play like that little playable part they have at the site. It also looks like some things in the game that your friend gave you also show up in the real world, so that could get pretty interesting too. I hope this gets an NA release~

Just look around more on the site. It isnt much but it shows a DS and has what I think to be the game on there. They let you play a part where you have to walk down a hallway and open this door. But I cant read japanese so I dont know what it said after I opened it.

 

I was actually having difficulty reading what it said, so I can't really tell you. But it either the first one starts it over and the second one exits you out of it.

Cheese-its, I wish I could read japanese. I really would like to see this. But from what you said, it sounds interesting.

 

I couldn't understand it much either, I'm only in 3rd year Japanese :/ I figured out the first two buttons and a few katakana words, but after that it was a lot of kanji so I got lost XD I couldn't find any playable part. Did find a video, was that what you were talking about?

This game looks awesome...reminds me of Silent Hill, though, so if they're at all similar I'll probably end up having a heart attack. RE4 ftw, SH zomfg

I wouldn't be surprised at all if this game turned out to be awesome. What I really want, though, is a sequel to The World Ends With You. I had almost sixty hours into that game, but someone deleted my file while I was having a party at my house, so I had to start all over again. I had beaten the game 3 times, and was level 67. Now I'm 20-something and am about halfway through the game. :( I think a sequel would be awesome. It could focus on Neku's fourth partner, who we never got to see.

 

I played TWEWY for like, ten minutes on my friend's DS. It was actually pretty fun. I'm planning on buying it soon. I might keep tabs on this one too. Nice find.

 

O_o It's not a sequel to TWEWY. It's a different game entirely.

It's good that Square Enix is making different games. TWEWY was awesome.
