Good evening good gentleman, now that BBS has been completed by myself at critical difficulty i can finally talk KH and theorise about KH without worrying about spoilers. I think that it is Sepheroth because he has been shown to enter the games and he has been shown as a canon part of the story. He will train Zack and in KHIII when they continue the Xehanort Chronicals, he will be shown as he is in the FFVII series, an able bodied warrior of great power on par with cloud and sepheroth. Chances are that if Aqua comes back into the realm of light he will ask her on a date again. Even look at this snipet from an interview with Nomura which is kindly supplied by KHI where they have all existing interviews to date;

Nomura: As in the original game, it's Sephiroth. In "KHI FM" and "KHII" Sephiroth was portrayed as a being of darkness, but at the time of "KH BbS" we don't know whether or not he was a being of darkness.

Yeah completely right daxma, it's Sephiroth, this isn't just the point where he eneters the colloseum ( KH 1 Platinum Match) he also seems to take Zack somewhere cos he disapears when the camera spans back to where he was.

 

Now that I think about it I do remember seeing a feather...and quite honestly I didn't think much of it; but it could be Sephiroth; at least well I think so ^^ because Genesis was never mention in the KH series, right? And besides for a moment in Terra's story he was tooken over by Hades darkness...which could have some relation to Sephiroth. :/

 

Even though KH is the story about Sora & co, I would like to see the Cloud/Zack/Sephiroth issue explained in KH3.
Because if we believe that Sephiroth is the "Darkness" in Clouds heart instead of a seperate entity, then it could be that Sephiroth could be Cloud's version of Ansem SoD.
Taking over CLoud and possibly killing Zack. Probably isn't this, but I do hope the "Sephiroth/Cloud mini-saga" also ends with the Xehanort saga in KH3.

 

The feather indicated that Zack fought Sephiroth before in his own world and that he might have to confront him again once he completes his training. Obviously, Zack was the main character of the prequel of FFVII.

 

At this stage I doubt it to be Genesis, whilst it isn't Angeal because he has a white wing, and Cloud is busy living his life in Radiant Garden. So the only leftover is Sephiroth. Doesn't mean that it can't be several other characters, but Sephiroth is the main FF villian in KH so he has to make an apperance, even if it is a lucid one.

 

I think it's just a reference to Sephiroth.
It's possible it could be a reference to Genesis, but either way, it's just a reference.
I doubt they'll ever touch upon it again, or Zack for that matter.
Especially since Zack was shown on a Disney world while the other FF characters were on original worlds.
