The fall of the Pokemon empire

First of all some of you may remember the thread about the new pokemon. Then you may remember the new pokemon and how ugly they were. I was searching for the release date of Pokemon diamond/pearl, which btw i believe it'll be a great game, and i found a place which has a list of some of the new pokemon.

I am dissapointed. Uselles and ugly evolutions like tangelas (yes even this pokemon now has an evolution) for what reason? Honestly i don't know. I don't know what the "Pokemon company" and Satoshi tajiri think. Some new pokemon are really good and pretty but nothing like the pokemon from the first season and the Johto world maybe.

Well I played a demo of Diamond/Pearl and Battle Revolution at GDC in SF, and I thought they all were good games. However, I do agree with others on the fact that they have stretched Pokemon very far from it's humble beginnings. I still think its a good series, and the games will always keep their awesomeness.

 

i myself find these new pokemon to rather ugly. I've kinda stop caring about pokemon now as i think there are far too many & i tend to just stick with the originals.

 

Out of the new ones I only like Leafeon and Glaceon cus they evole from Eevee

They've lost it. They're gonna go "bye-bye" pretty soon at this rate...to us. The little ones still love Pokemon and that's why it's even alive today. To be honest, they lost it at the third generation.

 

Pokemon was awsome back in the day when they only had 151 of them...as soon as they made more though, it became way too confusing for me to keep following along so thats when I kinda gave up on it. I personally don't like any of these new pokemon. None of them seem very original, and the evolutions that they made for the oldies are just plain ugly! >.<

Sorry to the new pokemon fans out there, but thats just my opinion.

 

I remember back when I was six or seven years old, Pokemon was the best thing that had ever happened in our world.

But that was seven years ago.

Now, they've...how can I put this...ah. They've shot themselves out of a cannon without a safety net.
Pokemon=Ugly. Plots=Suck. Characters=Too different. Where's Misty in the new series? She's replaced by some klutzy brunnette. Oy. Not to mention that Ash sounds like...40 years old. <_<
And there are what, a bajillion Pokemon now, right? I'm waiting for Uberchu to be sent out by someone. "Uberchu, I choose you!" xD Yep. Fifth evolution of Pikachu.
They should've stopped while they were ahead.

I just looked at the new Pokemon. A penguin, a monkey, and an acorn-looking turtle? Wow. Just...wow. They've truly gone down to an all-time low.

 

That's what I said to my friend a while back.
And the names aren't that great either. I mean, Piplup? Chimchar? Turtwig?

 

ugh. I used to follow pokemon when I was like 8 or 9, and since then I've only heard bits and pieces of news about it. over the years, I've come to the conclusion that they've blown this whole franchise way out of proportion. the original stuff was good, but when they started reaching like a fifth season of all new pokemon, it got old.

you can't help but feel bad for poor ash:
"YES! I FINALLY CAUGHT ALL 150 POKEMON! MY LIFE'S QUEST IS COMPLETE!"
"Oops, sorry, there's 150 more. Good luck with that."

and then it just repeats like such. I've gotten kinda sick of it. not to say pokemon's a bad thing, I have a lot of respect for it. brings back great memories. *reminisces*

 

OH! And get this. There's like...10 types of the same one.

They should add Uberchu in the next series, there's probably gonna be one since they just don't know when to stop.

 

I just recently restarted a game on Pokèmon ruby and I'm already starting to miss the old characters. The starters in that game just don't match up with those from pokèmon Red, Blue, Yellow, Silver and Gold.
I still think the games are good for time passing, the TV-series I stopped watching a long time ago.
It is limited how much fun it is to watch some kid forcing some poor animals to fight each other (I would like to mention that if this was real life, Ash would have been arrested by the RSPCA a long time ago) and watching Team Rocket dig holes before being blasted of again by Pikachu, which they do in 80% of all the episodes:p They're supposed to be the main bad guys in the series, and I think they're doing a lousy job at it since whenever they show up I just go "not again" and would rather leave the room or switch the channel untill they're gone.

Also: I DID catch 150 pokèmon at version Red. I was so happy, and what was the price again? A lousy diploma? Not much happened really... So I've never bothered trying for the rest of the games.

 

AMEN! I got all 151, leveled almost all of them to Level 100, and then the game died. I don't know what happened, it just...died. Since then, I've never touched Pokemon Blue.

 

It's not even an empire anymore. More like a deserted ghost town.

 

Haha. I can see it now, Outlaw Pikachu against some random pokemon while tumbleweed goes by.

 

In Sapphire I caught every Pokemon except for Feebas and Milotic. D: Those guys suck. I hear I get Chikorita/Cyndaquil/Totodile if I got everyone, but I never found out.

Also I do like msot of the fourth gen. Pokemon. Especially the starters.

I meant that the whole Pokemon deal was almighty and popular and just went...Kapoot.
