Kingdom Hearts II The Enigmatic Soldier... he's a funny guy.

The Enigmatic Soldier... he's a funny guy, as the title so says. He never follows the same pattern. well i've only fought him twice.
Well what i thought was funny was my wee brother has never played KH before & wants to start. But i won't let him until i beat the Soldier & see the secret ending, so i let him go around all the world's & collect munny for me. Plus it gives him a feel for it.
Anyway's, once he got all the munny i wanted i told him to got to Disney Castle & go through the portal. He was like "No... please no!!!!" Anyway he goes through to fight the Knight, never fought a boss before, been playing it for about 30 mins, it's on Critical mode etc etc. I couldn't believe what i saw, the knight was being a complete wuss to him. His first attack was a simple hit then it was the big ball thing not once did he fly. To cut it short he took out about 4-5 bars & i hadn't even increased Sora's str. The jammie wee sown-so. he was well chuft. :D

So i then decided to try it, n' lo n' behold he goes completely mental on me. Big ball attack to start, then flying, the trinity type move from KH1 & some other weird moves. I only managed to get 5-6 bars outta him. But it was only my second try & i knew i couldn't beat him yet.

But he's a werid one... never the same pattern. & sometimes a complete wuss at times. :D

Has this ever happened to people?

Sure it has.

Sometimes he goes absolutely crazy, and other times he's manageable. Kind of how to live with what you get, literally.

i beat him once =\ after that it was friggin hard he always do the fly thing and it's hard to dodge.

 

It's happened to me.

It's also the only reason I ever came close to victory.

 

well.....in an interview Nomura said that most of the bosses will change patterns everytime u fight them so if learning their pattern will be useless.

 

Well you could still learn all his attacks and how to defend yourself against them... so... that you can do that :p It is kind of easy after a few tries actually.

 

What would you guy's suggest what Sora's Str should be & should i bother increasing Donald's magic n' Goofy's str? I know i should increase their def. It just i don't want to waste a lot of time doing bosses when i don't have to.

 

The more strengh the better. I mean, if you take down his hp slower, he will start to use more varied attacks, like magnega and blizzard while hovering around on the keyblade. I had that problem first, but then I leveled up some, had like 60-70 str. Then that won't be a problem since his hp goes down pretty fast, and he will just use the regular attacks that are easy to block etc. :)

EDIT: Also try to equip donald will Save the Queen +... I believe it has Once more on it or Second chance, in final mix anyway.

 

How do you get Save the Queen +, & isn't there a Save the King +.
I heard of them but never knew how to get them. So if someone could tell me it would help a lot. :D

 

u need to get the recipe and make it =)

"Save the King" recipe + 1 Serenity Crystal.
"Save the Queen" recipe + 1 Serenity Crystal.
So all i do is add a Serenity Crystal to them?

Edit: What is the best weapon for Donald to fight the E.S. I need him alive but he always dies. I can get the E.S down to about 6 health bars in a single combo attack. (normal full combo, then Donald's limit & square attack in the air for as long as you can).
Is there any weapon that can give him last chance or whatever it's called.
Plus what is the best way to defend against him when he goes berserk?

How did the rest of you's beat him?

 

When he goes berserk glide away from him when he does his first two attacks (first, his slash attack, second, his weird rotating mirror-thing attack,) then land back on the ground and lock on to him. You'll see him shoot some energy, then slash at the air twice. Then when he disappears, keep guarding repeatedly until he finishes his last attack. If you time this right, you'll avoid all of his berserk attacks.
