This is a poem I wrote one day and I decided it would be the prologue for my book, A Dark Tale. Hope you like it!

The Darkness

Those who are born from the dark are protected from the dark.
They are protected from both light and dark.
But, even though they can love, it is harder on them to earn love in return.

Those who seek the dark and succeed in finding it are consumed by the dark
They are overjoyed by the dark when they find it.
But, in finding that darkness, they lose their loved ones in the end.

But, what about those who are given the dark?
What advantage do they have with their darkness?
And what suffrage do they have with their darkness?
The answers, the tale, and the love lie with in the darkest corridors of their life.
