Welcome to The Billionaire Game!

It's funny what rich people will do to entertain themselves, isn't it? Some throw over the top parties, others hunt extoic animals. However this one went a bit further than that and started a worldwide game! He, whose name I regrettably must omit for the time being, has sent strangers from across the globe some money. One million each!

As one of the randomly selected Players you will find the money in your bank account. However, none of it can be spent until you reach the first playing field; Field A, a city created for the sole purpose of serving as the gaming grounds! Wow. Rich people can sure afford a lot!

If you do not wish to play the game you may simply not show up. But if you don't then all that money will disappear! If you do, then the game starts as soon as you enter the town!

Now, every game needs rules. Ours are simple.

-Once you run out of money you lose the game.
-You can buy whatever you can imagine. However some special items may need tokens to buy. Tokens being earned through events and other means.
-You can trade purchases, exchange prizes, and give away or take money.
-If you lose the game by any other means than running out of money or you quit all of your purchases and money will be given to the remaining Players through a roulette system.

As for the goal of the game? Well that's up to you! So long as you are playing you may do as you wish. There will be events, hidden treasures, and so much more to keep everyone entertained! So relax and enjoy a peaceful life. Or have fun and go wild! The choice is yours!

the summary

On January 1st this letter arrived to you one way or the other. Even if you were off the grid, hidden away from society. Even if you did not have a bank account you found the money as well, the account information included within the envelope.

Some ignored it, threw it away, maybe even burned it. But you did not. You either want to live a luxurious lifestyle or you are curious about the man behind it. Or maybe you're just bored. No matter the reason you decided to go to a nearby location described in the letter where a driver took you to the nearest airport, no matter how far it was. From there you flew a private plane to your destination. Not a cent of your one million was spent for travel.

It has been a week. You've been living in the town such as the letter said you would, however you desired. Well, mostly. The first week does have some limitations such as the housing. But it has been promised that once everyone who arrived is counted that you may move wherever you want!

Now, on the start of the second week, there is an announcement of the first event! Today, at noon, you are asked to meet at city hall for more details. Be sure to check it out!

First and foremost please consider all other people in the city as NPCs. You may interact with them as needed but they should be nothing more than background noise, so to speak. The only people there to form bonds with are the other Players. At the start of the event it will be made clear to you which people are Players and which aren't. Until then there will be no plenties to befriending NPCs. But from then on we advise against it.

City Hall - In the very center of the city. We shall be using this for all meetings! Unless stated otherwise they are optional, but it's for the best if you go to all of them!

From here the city is divided into four sectors. The list of buildings and their details will be added as needed such as when someone mentions where their character lives or have their character explore an area. Also note your character can decide to buy any building in the city, including shops. Message me for any purchases relating this.

  The north part of the city and business area. All shops, restaurants, hotels (which now act as housing), and the like can be found here. As well as the hospital and clinics.
  
  Liv's Housing - Free housing based in a hotel where all the Players start off and must live for the first week. Once the week is over, however, they are free to move in where ever they please.

  The south part of the city and recreational area. All theme parks, theaters, clubs, and anything of that sort can be found here.
  
• 
  The west part of the city and housing. From average homes to villas and mansions. Any type of home you can think of can be found and bought here. You can buy one on their own or live with another. It's entirely up to you.

  The east part of the city and an unknown area. Currently restricted. If you character has tried or will try to go here they will start to forget what they were doing. If they still head towards if they will eventually pass out and wake up back where they live, having been carried by a NPC.
  

the rules​

• Rules may be edited at any time but not without notice.
• This roleplay can become anything. What it turns into depends on your characters and their choices. It could remain a perfect life situation. Or it could turn into a horror filled story with many supernatural aspects. There are happy endings. And there are bad endings.
• To go along with the choices and different endings this RP may be treated like an interactive story or VN at times. Though that depends on how smoothly it goes and on the feedback. What it would entail, though, is everyone being presented with a choice with options which each have their own outcome. I will try my best to give everyone a fair chance at voting but I do not want to delay the RP for longer than a day, or two at most. Besides these moments this RP will be treated as any other RP.
• There is no character limit. You're free to make as many as you want and replace those that die, because they can die. However there are ways to avoid every death. You will just have to find them.
• Weekly posts will be required unless I get notice that you cannot do it.
• Mature content is allowed, but if used then a notice in the ooc section or a place above the post will be needed. However if every post or every other interaction your character has includes it then it will not be allowed and a warning will be handed out. If ignored then you can be banned.
• No god-modding. No killing or controlling other characters that are not your own without permission.
• I do not believe that keeping track of your character's money should be a chore. Therefore all their basic needs and everyday stuff will be free. Only important things or housing will be counted. If you wish to keep a purchase secret from the other Players you may message me about it. However if it ends up affecting your character's physical appearance a note will be made.

The RP Thread is now up. It is open for posts. Everyone will have some time to interact and explore as there is about two hours left until the meeting, which was announced the day before. Please note that the locations are important so it'd be best to have that information in your post. Depending on what everyone does will affect when I start the meeting, but the default time should allow everyone enough time to post.

So on Friday I'll be heading to New York as part of my Spring Band Trip and I won't be back til Tuesday morning. Basically unless the hotel has internet, not that I'll be there for long, or I can find somewhere with internet, I'll be off the internet til I get back. I'll try to make a post either tomorrow or before I leave on Friday

 

That's alright. I've been sick and not on as much lately plus I think the activity rule is only going to kick in once the meeting starts, as the start was kinda sloppy. Speaking of, I believe everyone is there besides TheWorldThatNeverWas' character so once they get there it can start. Not going to rush it for a little longer, but hopefully we can get started this weekend.

 

I'll probably post this weekend since that's when I'll have the most time to do it. Since my character is the only one who isn't there (she's so slow lol).
