Early this Sunday at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida two trains on the famous Monorail crashed into each other. The accident killed one of the drivers, and injured 5 passengers. I found this news pretty shocking myself, especially since I have ridden that monorail so many times in my life.I guess its just one of those things that everyone thinks is perfect, but we all know that once you get to comfortable with something is when it stabs you in the back.

Was this sabotage or merely an error in the system?

Poor maintenance? I can't imagine that in a place as rich as Disneyworld that they wouldn't check those things regularly, but you never know - it could happen.

oh lawl. The monorail. I would expect it to happen on a roller coaster or something of the sort, but not the monorail. It really does ruin the vacation for those families those. And it's nothing much. Mistakes happen, and this is the first time, so it's not that big of a deal, but when it happens a second time, it's a big deal, because it shows that Disney is irresponsible and there might be some lawsuits because of this accident.

Sabotage, clearly. I mean, Hitler's greatest dream was to crash the monorail in Disney. It's the dream of all young fascists and villains.

This is acutally I think the third time the monorail's been in some fatal accident. But no lawsuits have been filed for them.

It's happened so many times before so there must be something wrong with the maintenance there. Hopefully this was a wake-up call to Disney World to fix the monorail, and they better do it before I get there...on second thought I'll just ride the ferry.

Five bucks says the driver who died was texting/talking on a cell phone.

Just a guess because there was a thing in Boston a month ago when two subway trains crashed underground injuring dozens and the driver (who was pretty young) was texting on their phone while driving.

My thoughts go to the family of the man who died and I hope that those who are injured get better.

As for whether or not this throws doubt over the maintenance of Disney, I think it is silly to start thinking they don't pay attention etc.

Accidents happen, yes it is very sad, but throwing around accusations won't stop accidents happening, nor will it change those that have happened.

I think it is just a very sad incident.

aw, I feel sorry for the little kids who were on the train who experienced such a horrible event D:

I suspect it was the fault of one of the drivers, as Disney's standards are extremely high.

Ill be on that monorail this summer, most likely <:

I feel sorry for the man's family who now have to suffer, when they could be a family. Things like this happen, but its hard to believe that Disney would allow something like that to happen. Maintenance is probably the only thing that I could think of as well. And damn, I've been on a monorail before/and it ain't that bad, but it's quite sad to hear about that incident. Wake-up call to Disney that they need their Maintenance level at a higher standard, because this shouldn't be happening. I also feel sorry for the little children who were on that ride and had to experience that horrifying event.
