But I already am. The reason she didn't tell me the truth when I began to show interest in her was so I wouldn't abandon her like the last guy who fell madly in love with her. It didn't work and six months later, I told her everything about my feelings for her, starting the story at a point that happened a week or so before I even saw her for the first time.Then she told me the truth and apologized even though she didn't do anything but be absolutely perfect in every way.

And also, there's no way I could abandon her now. I told her a lot of stuff just to help break down my inhibitions a bit and I know she could really hurt me with some of it if I got on her bad side. Combine that with the fact that I'm one out of maybe three people who know that she's gay and we may as well be joined at the hip. No matter what, I'm not going to just end this relationship just because she can't return my feelings. If anything, I just need to change my goal of becoming her boyfriend to becoming her best friend. And until I manage to move on (ie, find another girl who I'll fall for within minutes of meeting her), I can always hope that she's actually bi or ends up with a girlfriend who likes to have a third. No, that's you. You could simply do it and it wouldn't be that hard because in my situation you wouldn't feel like you owe her anything. However, I'm a decent person in real life and simply can't abandon someone who has opened up to me like she has. I can't abandon her because that was the entire reason she was afraid to be honest with me in the first place. Confirming those fears would only force her to put up walls and that's highly likely to have lasting damages on what I highly suspect is an already very fragile person. I rarely care about other people, but for those who I do care about, I REALLY care. This girl is one of those few people that I care about and I'm not going to be the one who hurts her like she expects to be hurt. I refuse to be that guy and I absolutely will not have that on my conscience.

I still need to actually watch that.
