That Awkward Moment When....

You discuss Kingdom Hearts or Final Fantasy in school and no one knows what you are talking about :(. Does anybody else have this problem?

 

When i was in high school there was only MAYBE 5 ppl that played KH of FF, that was 5 years ago, so all the big FF were out (7-10 ect) and kh 1 and 2 were both out as well. it was very lonely for me cuz i could discuss FF/KH for days lol

 

When I still went no one I knew had actually heard of them before, let alone played them.

 

More people know about FF in my school than KH, which is a problem for me since I've never played a FF game. There were few people that knew KH, and even fewer that like talking about, and around 2-3 people that remember everything from the game. (me included)

 

We had an exchange student in my class for about 3 months and he has been from chile. When he recognized my notebook for school (which is full of KH and FF images) we had a nice chat about those games. I was really fascinated, and I still am, that I got to know a person of the other side of the world who shares the same interests like me.
But well.. in my class, at least half of the people do play games. Not everyone is interested into KH nor FF but they sure know about it. :)

I remember in high school during health we were watching Pay it Forward with Haley Joel Osment in it and some girl mentions he played Sora in Kingdom Hearts. Then a few people including this one prep-y girl said "I love Kingdom Hearts". I think she just wanted attention or something because shes weird. lol

 

lol weird or ont, if they liked KH i would talk to them :P

 

Psssh even if they heard the title Kingdom Hearts I would talk to them.

 

There are actually a lot of people in my school that like Kingdom Hearts. I haven't seen anybody who likes Final Fantasy though, however it is possible because I don't talk to anybody anyway. It seems like I'm always finding out that somebody else likes Kingdom Hearts. It's not like it matters though, the only people in my school who like it are the weirdest, most disgusting people in the school, and the last people that I would want anything to do with. (no offense of course, that's just how it is)

I know there is one guy who knows that I like Kingdom Hearts, we both played BBS at the same time when it first came out but we don't talk anymore (this is probably the reason that I don't remember BBS fondly and that I receive it so negatively, it's tied to so many unpleasant memories.)

 

It's kind of sad that I might be the only one in my school who has ever heard of Kingdom Hearts. Most of them would play CoD, or GTA, or even Tetris...

 

I can talk about KH or KH2, but very rarely do I find someone who lives anywhere in my area that knows about the handhelds(the exception being birth by sleep). I can still talk to people about it, but I forget that they don't know as much about the story.

 

The only RPG my school knew about was Pokemon because it was really big and knew. But as for KH and FF.... I don't think anyone else played it, but now I have a small group of friends who play both who I know from my anime group

 

I've never tried to mention Kingdom hearts, but quite a few of the students I know best at my school play FF. It's funny cause I have this thing where at moments where somebody accomplishes something, (or something goes wrong) I sing out the victory theme. (The latter because of the irony) This last year was my first year at a public school in a long while. I did it anyway (Though fewer times.) and I started a trend; allot of people in my classes started doing that. It was fun. All the same I rarely actually talk with most people in my school so for me its not always noticeable what other people like and dislike compared to my own interest. (Like I said, first year at public school in a while.)

(Another funny fact is that someone jokingly said their favorite FF was XV. It obviously hadn't been announced at the time, but we knew it would be.)
