Kingdom Hearts II Terra, Aqua, Ven - Drive form connections?

I just thought about this when I was playing as Wisdom Sora in KH2

Since Sora's heart

is supposedly connected to many other people (very likely Terra, Aqua and Ven) as revealed in the Kingdom Hearts birth by sleep secret ending

I think it would make sense that each of Sora's 3 drive forms (not counting anti and final) reflect Terra's, Aqua's and Ven's fighting styles. Valor form is the main strength form and has slightly slower but more powerful keyblade swings, much like Terra's fighting style. Wisdom Form reflects Aqua's style because it is magic based (and maybe because Its blue although that might be a stretch). I know sora doesn't hold his keyblade in a reverse grip in master form but the key swings look... awkward kinda like Vens.

 

One problem
mix up with valor and master
Master has slower swing that do more damage, and actually Valor is the fastest form of the three with fast swings so Its more likle Ven.
But its possibly

Here's the way i'd see it:

Valor (Power form) = Terra

Wisdom (Magic form) = Aqua

Final (Mastery-of-all-skills form) = Ven

Master (Higher level magic form) = Master Xehanort

Anti-form (Dark Sora form) = Vanitas

 

Interesting theory there :) Knowing square this is probably true they like linking things together and making running themes in their games etc... I'm pretty sure that in valor Sora holds one of his keyblades differently and hits 'backwards' with it ??

 

Very interesting theory. I believe there is a connection there. It has crossed my mind a couple of times before.

 

I have always thought that the white one (not sure if it is called Master or Final) is connected to Nobodies and this Roxas, I mean, it does become avaliable after you fight Roxas at TWTNW

Also I always thought Anti-form was a result of Sora's time as a heartless but it could be Vanitas as well.

 

Final Form is randomly obtained in ethier the world that never was, Hollow Bastion, and I think Nightmare Before Christmas.

Your saying that the Final Form is a Roxas form? Very possible, since Roxas and Sora have a big connection, it could be linking.

Anti-Form however I don't think is because of the time he was a heartless. Notice what heartless he was? A normal shadow. The more darkness a person has in his heart=The stronger the heartless.

Anti-Form is strong. Not weak, so it kills that theory. Anti-Form is rather, a mystery.

 

I got Final Form at Mulan's world tho. So I think it's completely random. A friend of mine got it when he was competing in a Hades Cup.

I agree on the Roxas = = Final Form connection.

Vanitas. I believe (correct me if I'm wrong, haven't played it) Ventus beat him, and they merged together right? And Ventus merged with Sora I believe. So that means maybe because he has a part of Vanitas inside him, and after the incident with turning in a Heartless, his Anti-Form (which is Vanitas residing darkness) was activated.

Or atleast that's what I think with the knowledge I have.

Vanitas because I have the theory that Anti-form IS Vanitas and that Vanitas survived by going into hibernation deep within the darkness of Ven's heart and is still there when Ven's heart enters Sora

In Valor form I'm... pretty sure that Sora holds both keyblades in a standard grip and not a reverse grip like Ven does.

The acquisition of final form is random after the encounter with Roxas when Sora first reaches Memory's Skyscraper.

Also remember that Anti-form isnt just in KH2. You fight him in KH1 in Captain Hook's room in KH1 as well. But considering the way before you fight him it slips in under the door Riku is backed up against and that Sora is standing away from...

I think that the Antiform fought in KH1 might just be an image of Vanitas from the shadowed depths of Sora's heart.

but Hmmm I should have considered That possession possibility as well...
I thought He would try to break off of Sora into a body of his own... but that doesnt exactly make sense because there dont seem to be that many lifeless shells available... (if all the nobodies are gone)

I have trouble accepting Ventus's representation in Sora's drive forms as Final form because the Ven-Final form connection would imply that Ventus is much more powerful than Aqua or Terra if these Drive Form connections have some significance...

 

If Ventus isn't Final, then who is?

And for that matter, why would Roxas, look like Ven, instead of a slightly altered Sora?!

And to answer Master Eraqus=Master form thing, no.

Master Eraqus only had a mastery of his keyblade, never once did I see him use magic.

The reason I didn't include Eraqus in my listing is because he's not connected to Sora, in any way that see, of course I have been wrong before.

 

The reason that your theories don't match up the characters with the drive forms means one of two things.
1. You're matching up the wrong character with the form.
or
2. You're theories are wrong.

I doubt that TVA have a connection to the drive forms.
AT MOST, some of TVA's abilities can have been inspired by, but not directly taken from, the forms.

 

This is just a theory, Ramen, and it certainly isn't my best one. I believe it's 100% possible that when the game developers developed the fighting styles of Terra, Aqua and Ven they might have used the KH2 drive forms as somewhat of a basis and nothing more. There also is a chance that there really is no connection.
However...

I have quite a bit of belief that my theory is at least plausible because the KHBBS secret ending suggests that Sora's heart has connections with many of the characters in the past games.

 

I would not say that Vanitus triggered Anti Form. Nomura said in his reports that it was triggered, storywise, by Sora becoming a heartless. Final form is the representation of Roxas. Don't forget that the fight Sora and Roxas had was actually a mental struggle, so Roxas was in his brain from that point on.

I don't think there's any connection tbh, except for some kind of connection between Sora and Roxas regarding final form, and yes, the form change is completely random and can happen any time after metting Roxas in TWTNW.
