Birth by Sleep Tera's Voice Actor

I was wondering if anyone knew who Tera's voice actor for the Japanese Game is?

After hearing the trailer a friend and I think it's Akio Ôtsuka who also does KH2!Xehanort's voice.

Does anyone know for sure?

 

Well, MX is definitely Norio Wakamoto (Xemnas' VA). A guy who's a huge fan of him says that he can recognize his voice even when he changes it, and knows that Wakamoto has four different voice tones but always sounds the same when he screams. So yeah, MX has Xemnas' voice actor.

The same guy says he's 80% sure that Terra's VA is Akio Ôtsuka, so most likely.

 

It makes me wonder... if Akio Outsuka really is his VA if that's the reason Square is being all Hush hush with the trailer.

 

Out of curiosity, where did you exactly hear this from?

It is out of speculation. After watching the trailer, Tera's voice sounded incredibly familiar so i popped in FM+ and watched the KH2!Xehanort talking to Ansem the Wise Scene. To my friend and I they sound almost alike (slight pitch change), so I was wondering if anyone knew for sure.

 

Here, I made this just a few minutes ago. It's not the best example since Terra's screaming in almost all the clips, but it's good enough: Terra - Xehanort's Voice?

P.S. You still like spelling his name as "Tera"?

 

Putting their voices together like that is great, It really IS him!!

And yes! I am. Square still haven't released an English spelling have they? Plus you're reasoning on why it should be Terra is flawed because Tera, Terra, Terran, Terrius, Tellus ALL mean Land in Latin. So until I've got some concrete, out of Nomura's mouth spelling, I am sticking with Tera due to that being the Katakana version that has INDEED been released by Square. If you don't like it, tough. Stop bothering me about it.

1. "Terra" first appeared on youtube talking about the E.S. battle...millions of youtube users called him the name "Terra."
2. Xaldin's translation of BBS and 358/2 news (http://www.kh-vids.net/showthread.php?t=40472) happen to be translated to "Terra."
3. Other sites call him "Terra." Including wikipedia, photobucket, kh3.org and more...either they're all wrong...or you're right...I dont really know which one to choose either Terra or Tera but I have a feeling that the former is right. Are you sure there wasnt a small "tsu" in the spelling of Terra? 'Cuz that would make it Terra, right?

Anyway, off topic, but I hope that was concrete enough. Im pretty sure Terra is the english spelling and Tera might be japanese, like "Axel" is english spelling and "Akuseru" is the japanese version


Back to your thread: I'm not sure whose voice that is O_O Kh uses a lot of famous voices for their characters Japanese and American so we probably wont be let down XD

 

Those are fan translations though not Square. And there isn't a little "tsu". I don't follow fan translations especially after the Kadaj/Loz incident. And there's nothing wrong with going with the Japanese spelling so I don't understand why it's such a big deal that I spell it 'Tera'.

Back to topic: I think it's safe to assume it is Akio Outsuka. If not then SNAP that guy sounds so close!! Makes me wonder if Akio Outsuka IS the VA if they're keeping it hush hush cause the need to hide some sort of connection between Tera and KH2!Xehanort.

 

I hope Terra isn't KH2Xehanort then . . . that would ruin the game for me. I hate kh2Xehanort. There''s just something about him that annoys me. (Sorry, kh2Xehanort fangirls, nothing personal) Terra is so far my favorite character of BBS, the game I anticipate the most. Can you imagine how much of a let-down that'd be to me?

Maybe they're only brothers or something? Or am I getting ahead of myself with theories? Just ... if they really are, then . . . just . . . AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH.
