Traditional Art Tell Me What You Think of My Drawing.

I drew this yesterday and i wanna know what you think ok

 

It looks cool.For my pictures to make it pop out more I shade in the hair and everything.But it looks fine.

 

Not shabby at all! Minor nitpicks tho, like the adams apple on the throat is too low.

But you got the most basic parts right, so you study the original drawing well. May I suggest that you try to draw something from your own mind? I'm not saying that it shouldn't be fanart, but try to not rely too much on what has already been drawn. Try to make your own poses and expressions, it will give you much more freedom when drawing. A good suggestion to you is to start with a stickfigure when you draw your poses, then work from there.

I think this guy's just in the beginning stage, which is when EVERYONE will copy something to learn. It shouldn't be a shocker.. This is how I started learning about propotions (not accurate but still), it's just extremly rare that someone makes a perfect drawing without practicing by "copying" first. As long as the original idea behind the original art isn't taken advantage of (selling it in your own name for example), I guess it's OK. Because it's obvious that this is only the beginning of this person's future in drawing.

Though I will repeat my suggestion - get out of the safety box. Try to build up your own poses. It's scary at first but it will help you improve.

Well, if it's not your pic, im very dissapointed, since it's a great drawing and stealing artwork is low.
If it is your picture, then try shading in the coat and his hair so they stand out.

 

i realize not many people like me on here but this is my pic i have been drawing for 3 years my uncle taught me how to draw before he died so critisise all you want but i did draw this

I mean how often do you see her drawn, even more so without the Twilight Town gang? So I vote for an Olette drawing.

So this guy hasn't exactly given himself a good first impression, what with the whole homophobic comments and flames he dumped around, but guys let's not bring that to his art. There have been plenty of people who simply copy official art, I don't know why you guys are making such an issue over it for here.

Like cocohints said, he seems to be at the beginning stage where copying is only a natural way to go.

I'd also have to second her suggestions about daring to try different poses. Otherwise it's not bad, try and add some shadnig next time, like Tootz suggested.

Technically you are ripping. That pic is not yours. That picture has been on Deviant art for almost a year now, you pm'd Rosey telling her you made it yesterday. I pm'd the user on DA asking if he was a member here, he wasn't. Now it's the exact same picture, no copying or anything.

I don't pre-judge people and when I said it wasn't yours I was obviousely right, I said that based on facts not your rep. You do not rip others art. It's extremely cheap done and the artist that drawed it isn't even a member here. You never even credited the guy. Now if it actually was yours I'd appologize to you in public, but based on the facts we have it all tells us that it's ripped.
