(debates on reviving old topic..... nvm)

I just watched it last night cuz I got it on DVD. I love Sweeney Todd to bits. I really want to see the original musical. And I plan to be Mrs. Lovett for Halloween. :D

Not a bad movie, just picked it up and saw it the other day. But I won't lie, i openly laughed when i saw that Alan Rickman and Timothy Spall showed up on screen, and all i could think of was Jack Sparrow vs Snape and Wormtail.

I can't believe that Johnny Depp was in a musical.

That image popped into my mind when I first saw it. It makes it a bit awkward, but you just have to try to forget about that.

Gosh, I kept saying I would watch it in theatres, but its already in DVD D: D:

But then again, I can't wait to watch it either way.

First of all, its Tim Burton, then its Johnny Depp, and its about a friggen BARBER. Whats not to like? ;D

I really enjoyed this movie. Someone told me it sucked but I bought it any way on DVD and I'm glad I did. Tim Burton, Depp and Rickman all did an excellent job on this. I did also though think of Snape vs Captain Jack fo some reason as a side thing. Good fun though.

    Haha, Snape and Wormtail.

But anyway, it was really good. I liked it, but I couldn't watch when he slit their necks open.

I swear this movie could be a HP counter part with all the same actors. XD

Anyways~ I absolutely loved it, being a fan of musicals, Johnny Depp, AND horror.

its both horror and musical believe it or not

but its not real scary like most horror movies

    or campy like most musicals

its a weird mix but its really good!

Yes, it's not make-you-jump scary, it's just really, I mean really bloody.

But I would also categorize it in the "comedy" genre, as well.

I don't think the original was a musical...was it? Oh well I thought that while occasionally funny this movie was a bit of a disappointment. I liked the singing though...pretty catchy tunes. I guess it would be worth buying.

The original was an on-stage musical.I think there was a movie adaptation already, but it didn't do so well.
