    I have two questions:

1: Which are better to use/easier: Magic Switch V3 or Magic Keys II?
2: Will I have to take them out if I want to play a NA Ps2 game?

    1) They both serve the same function, and I believe the difficulty level is the same for both since both have the ominous third tool that everyone hates installing. Either product is fine, but make sure to buy from a retailer that offers the cheapest price and the most reliable refund/return and delivery policy. These prices change quite frequently, so I couldn't tell you which one is the cheapest now (because many offer these combos that just keep evolving in nature).

    2) No, you can leave them in once you've installed them. All the tools do is fool your PS2 into thinking the lid is closed; this doesn't affect the way your PS2 laser is operating--that's what the Swap Magic disc does.

Okay, what is that third tool? I ask because upon seeing both of them, Magic Switch has 5 tools and Magic Keys only have 3. And Those three keys are the same from the Magic Switch set. So would that mean that Magic Switch comes with two useless tools?

The Magic Switch has more tools because it's designed to be able to provide for all PS2 slim versions. While it has 5, only 3-4 of the tools will be used depending on your PS2 version, and the others will become useless. The Magic Keys II only provides 3 tools because it's only considering PS2 slims that are V13-16, and not the V12s.

The third tool is Tool E in this set

I have a Silm Model SPCH-70012. Can I still use the Magic Keys II?

You *could*, but since you have a V12, you're better off using something else like Slim Tool XCM Pro 3, or the Magic Switch, since I wouldn't recommend anyone to use Magic Keys II unless they really had to.

This is becuse V12s don't require those really annoying 'third tool's that many people hate installing, thus V12 installation is quick and painless if you don't have to use that tool. This is because V12s don't have the extra metal hinge that make the installation process of the third tool very exhausting.

    I'd recommend this combo

Note: You won't have to use that metal tool in the picture since you have a V12.
