Whelp, so far I've found 1 episode that I despise in supernatural. Why did they have to do it all in first-person? It was like watching Cloverfield all over again, and I hated that movie. Great story, terrible execution....well, at least in my opinion.

I really can't remember a first person episode...what was it about? Also Cloverfields story was abysmal, ever since Godzilla no giant monster movie is good.

EDIT: I went and did my research, you hated the Ghost chasers episode? Every SPN fan in the world will now be out for your blood.

This. It's one of my favorite episodes. They do a couple more similar ones (though the more recent one is more Chronicle than Blair Witch).
Btw, as someone who enjoyed Cloverfield, I think you have Cloverfield mixed up with the Blair Witch Project. That episode was not similar to Cloverfield, save for the camera technique.

Of course it's similar to Cloverfield because of the camera usage, why else would I relate the two of them? Besides, I never watched the Bliar Witch Project, and probably never will, and like I said, I hate first-person camera, especially because of the camera jumping all over the place. And either way, I stand by my statement that I did not like that episode.

I thought it was one of the funniest episodes. It' s not like it was gratuitous, the first person view was a way to poke fun real tv in general and those Ghost Hunters shows in particular. It also allows a few direction choices that wouldn' t feel natural otherwise.

A lot of people involved in making Supernatural worked on the X-Files before. Like many weird/funny Supernatural episodes, Ghost Chasers was a variation of a concept already visited in the X-Files.

Grave Encounters would be a better match.

never seen nor heard of Grave Encounters either. And I would say quarintine, but I haven't even seen it, so I wouldn't be able to use it as a reference all that well
