Apple's Keynote Event today dropped a bombshell when Shigeru Miyamoto came on stage to announce Super Mario Run, a platformer coming to iOS. The game will have a fixed price and no in-app purchases. Mario will move forward on his own in this game, while players tap the screen to make him jump. The game will be available to purchase this December on iPhone and iPad devices, and on other platforms later. EDIT: Official website is live.
Nintendo has announced that the game will release for iOS on December 15. The app can be downloaded for free with a few trial levels, and afterwards the full game can be unlocked with a one-time payment of $9.99. Preregistration for the game is now live as well. source
