Alright time to noob it up. I've just recently gotten into this and hardly know anything yet. I've seen translation patches that take the subtitles of scenes and change them. Would it be possible to run a similar patch to remove them entirely? Hard and tedious as the process would be, it would be a godsend for video editing.
...or you could just remove them with codes: Disable Subtitles 2036D618 00000000 (I'm assuming you mean KH2FM...?)
Well KH2FM is the one I'm working on now, but I was hoping to get into all of them. I didn't realize the code for it would be that simple. Assuming the other games follow suit that would likely be better. Though I haven't tried running any codes on the emulator yet.
there are probably more permanent ways of doing this as in directly modding your iso (assuming your using one) and never having them appear ever again without using code
Well that is what I was talking about in my first post. I'm cool with it either way. I was mostly posting to see if it was even feasible. I know that it is (and have a code to do it) so anything else from this thread is just an added bonus.
well when it comes to hacking games almost anything is possible it just depends on if someone is willing to do it or not. i remember years ago when people asked for play as boss codes we laughed at them and said there is no way that is possible and now look what is all over the place. i hacked an entire gba game allowing you to play as a boss you see for 30 seconds and i re did all of the animations and everything else and it looked awesome its just that it took me well over 9 months
