Story Time with Ventus: You murdered your Rival's Raticate

This is the (rumored) story of how your Pokémon murdered your Rival's Raticate. Listen well children.


As Red, you walked through Cerulean Bridge to get to Bill's house. Blue challenged you, and in his party was a Rattata. You ended up defeating him. Later in your journey, you encounter Blue in the S.S Anne, coming out of the Captain's Quarters. His Rattata had evolved into a pretty powerful Raticate. You defeated that Raticate, and Blue left after the battle. He seemed mad, but, no biggie. Pokémon faint all the time.

Well, the next battle is in the Pokémon Tower in Lavander Town. It's a graveyard for Pokémon. Blue confronts you. "Why are you here?" he says, "You're Pokémon don't look dead. I can at least make them faint." WTF? Why are you here then? The battle begins.

He sends out Pokémon after Pokémon. Eventually, you win again. Wait, where's his Raticate? Must just be in the PC right? WRONG! That Raticate never appears again. Ever. Apperantly, due to the confusion and crowdedness aboard the S.S. Anne, Blue didn't make it to the Pokémon Center in time. His Raticate had Critical injusries, and passed away.

You murderer. You just killed someone's Raticate.
