All right, so since I was upgraded to Windows 7, all of the settings, including custom settings for the DVD drive, I had reset to default.

Where do I go to make it so the DVD doesn't automatically play when I insert it?
On Windows XP, I had it set so nothing came up, and that it would always do that when inserting a DVD.

    Thanks in advance.

Amazing, right? For once, it's not an actual "problem." =P

Hum? This is strange. When I insert a CD in my laptop (Windows 7) it opens a window saying "Automatic Reproduction" (Reprodução Automática, google translator says Auto Play/Playback automatically). There you chose if you want to start the DVD now.

Is that what you is looking for?

No, I don't want the menu asking me if I want to open the DVD or not to come up, either.
That's how I had it set before, and I can't remember how I did it.

Right now, when I insert a DVD, it automatically plays in Windows Media Player, which I don't want.

Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> AutoPlay

There you should have a screen with a number of settings, some of them pertaining to the disc drive. Change them to whatever you would like.

    Awesome! Thanks, Misty!
It's now set to "Take no action."

You may lock this now.
