Oh wow this is very interesting. I agree sir, i wonder how Apple will work in the future... Jobs was the iconic figure of Apple... But i didn't know he was battleing such a disease, so i understand the gravity of the situation. My only hope is that he gets better. That is a sad report... I wonder who will be the new CEO of Apple? Probably Bill Gates someone next in line on the corporate ladder.
Wow. ._. I didn't even know this about him until now. /newsigorant But seriously, I hope the treatments continue to work for him. I do wonder who'll take Apple over as CEO now, but I wish Jobs and his family the best.
Tim Cook will be taking over. Well if you have stock in Apple I'd say now is the time to sell, this one man is the whole company. I've heard that the stock has already fallen in the after hours. Even if he's still going to be a chairman, this is definitely a crushing blow to Apple. Could be wrong though, things might not change as much as I think.
There goes Apple. I have been expecting this for a while. He kept the company going, and without him they will fail.
Well, from what I've heard, Tim Cook (the guy who is to replace Steve Jobs) has been running the show for a few yearswhile Steve's been on medication, so I don't see many major changes along the way. Steve's still going to be funding as chairman, so he's not the cowboy he used to be, but he's not quite off the saddle just yet. SOURCE
Jobs had been made Chairman of the Board, so it looks like he'll still have some say in the company, as did Cook. Still, will be interesting to see what happens to Apple down the line.
Ahh yes i just looked into that... -In January 2011, Apple's Board of Directors approved a third medical leave of absence, requested by Steve Jobs. During that time, Tim Cook was responsible for most of Apple’s day-to-day operations while CEO Steve Jobs made most major decisions. -On August 24, 2011, Tim Cook was personally requested as the next CEO of Apple by Steve Jobs following his immediate resignation. Hmm... this sure will hit Apple hard, twas true that he was literally the backbone of Apple. (Darn, and i have a Mac....)
This is making me reconsider getting another iPhone when my contracts up. But that's not for a few months so we'll see how this all goes till then. It'll be the new tech that's being introduced and their sales that show how much of an impact this will have on Apple. Might make the products cheaper for us? Ah who am I kidding?
No one will notice a different though. How much do you really think Steve Jobs did at Apple as far as design/software/hardware goes?
