As funny as that is, you can't just explain it to us? I looked it up, but I didn't find anything pertaining to it.

 

You make an account and you buy/play pc games to my understanding. I don't really know too much about it.

It's basically like Xbox Live or the Playstation Network, only for PC Gaming, and it's free.

The games are not free, the service is, just search for steam community on ask.com.
