I guess my only worry is if there is a limitation on the number of family members, and if those family members have to be in a 'family unit'.
I can see the benefit of it in single player games for sure, obviously you can't play with your friend's copy with them, but a lovely step in the right direction.

I don't think there's a limit to the people who can share your library, so much as simply the number of systems

Aww yes this is great. I can now play my brother's games and vice versa without always going over to my brother's computer and always switching accounts

For real, that would be perfect, and eliminate any issue a sensible person could have with PC gaming. Uninstall & delete the game, get a refund in your Steam Wallet, buy the game again if you want it back.

I mean there'd have to be some limit on it, otherwise Steam could never depend on those profits. Which is part of what makes me it won't be feasible. Unless there's a time limit of some sort, which I'd be totally ok with since I play some games for five minutes and realize I hate them.

Oh yeah, I was thinking of a time limit making it work really well. Maybe something like a traditional video store rental, where you get 7 days with the product and if you don't decide to return it by then, you keep the game.

Though they'd have to make the limit shorter probably, so you can't just beat a game and then return it. So...3 days?

Considering PC gaming they could insert a flag somewhere to go "If they have played it for longer than an hour, no refund" This obviously could be worked around with offline mode and data manipulation, but most people wouldn't know how, and those that did would still have to deal with the greater time limit. Plus a clause on a repurchase being final would be a good measure as well.
