Stealing art is not cool !

wow 3rd thread in 1 day !.......heh.....*ahem* you know stealing people drawings isnt cool...and the artist might get sad for that,you see "Stealing" is forbidden ,but you people dont listen to that but.... i do...look....That day in deviant Art in Summer 2006 theres been alot of spammers and art stealers and I'VE HAD IT WITH THIS MESS....so i suggest that YOU listen to me buddy, so*ahem* in youtube theres alot of videos about naruto's drawing and anime drawings (WHICH IT WASNT THEIR DRAWING!)but they were say they drawed this the answer is FALSE all of them were stolen! you dont know what i mean ok *ahem* i know this artist he's from england (hes really a good artist) he drawed some sonic stuff , after that some idiot posted a video (HIS DRAWINGS WAS IN THE VIDEO!) and that person said she(the person is a girl) drawed those drawings but in her profile it says she's from USA so the answer is FALSE! so..i suggest you not stealing people's drawing :yelling: !

Yeah...I think a lot of us here know that lol.

I always kinda found it stupid when someone would LIE that they drew something. Especially if it was picked up from the net, anyone could've stumbled upon the original. :/

 

original is good! , copy is bad :c

 

Or maybe she's smart and posts different areas to live. I post Brazil or Belguim or in Hell lol but yeah I've had to deal with art thieft. The only thing you can do is copy right the art to yourself to maybe stop it. Though it doesn't work well. I really don't care for my neon pictures because pretty much any one can do that with a few Ginga Densetsu Weed images.

 

well......you can copy anime show's picture...but the person who drawed in deviantArt or sheezy art ....that would be forbidden!

 

Yeah, stealing art is 'not cool.' On MySpace, I would see people using graphics I made as avatars and backgrounds. I didn't feel right knowing some people are using my things without my disregard.

 

MySpace is way worser than art theives!

 

Well, yeah. That's another problem on the net - just taking graphics and using them. :/ Personally I have no problem with people taking my art and using them for their own personal use, whether they credit me or not. The simple act of them choosing my work in particular is a form of appreciation. That's the way I look at it.

However what's stupid and that I don't get is people taking artwork and LYING that they did it - I think that's the real problem. Otherwise I could never really understand why artists flip Raging!Ape-Mode about people simply using their work, and nothing more.
