I have been meaning to do this for a long time now, to start the monogatari series but I never got round to it now that college is finally nearing its end I can start also what is the season order if anyone knows? i've got bakemonogatari on my computer but that's about it
Here's (as far as I know) the order in terms of story: Kizumonogatari (not released yet) -> Nekomonogatari: Kuro -> Bakemonogatari -> Nisemonogatari -> Monogatari Series: Second Season -> Hanamonogatari I recommend to just watch it in order of release. It's best like this for how the characters and stories are introduced. Bakemonogatari -> Nisemonogatari -> Nekomonogatari: Kuro -> Monogatari Series: Second Season -> Hanamonogatari ??? Kizumonogatari
Watch Bakemonogatari, then Nisemonogatari, then Nekomonogatari (Black), then Monogatari Series Second Season (which contains Nekomonogatari (White), Kabukimonogatari, Otorimonogatari, Onimonogatari, and Koimonogatari), then you'll watch Hanamonogatari, which is between Kabuki and Otori (as light novel, in timeline it's after Koi), when it comes out, and Kizumonogatari, which is before Bake, when it comes out (it's a movie and was supposed to have been out a few years back lol). Nekomonogatari (Black) is technically (in the timeline) before Nisemonogatari but it came out after Nise in terms of the light novels. Also, Kizumonogatari, the light novel version, has been translated and you can read it if you want. That's what I did. Another also, the beginning scenes of Bakemonogatari that flash through really quickly are from Kizumonogatari, so don't be confused when none of that is ever actually covered or explained.
