Off to see it tonight, it shall be epic. Not my favorite out of the 6 films, but Liam Neeson is awesome as Qui-Gon and getting to see these films on the big screen will be a grand thing.
My the force be with all of you~

The only reason I liked that movie was because of Liam Neeson.

    Also. 3D sucks.

...I just realized Qui-gon was Liam Neeson from your post lol. I don't know what it is I mean I saw so many commercials for this movie and I only now realized it was him. I remember watching one of his movies a few years ago and wondered where I saw him before lol. Maybe the long hair threw me off or the fact that I watched the movie as a kid and just thought of Qui-gon as Qui-gon never wondering who played him.

    Anyways have fun!

This, Episode one was weak, but it had badass mother****er Darth Maul which he himself saved it from being a bad film. Episode One had Pumpkin Head playing Anekin, annoying **** head Jar Jar Binx (who if you look at it with enough proof, is responsible for starting the Empire) a long eye candy CGI pod race, which would be fine if it didn't take FOREVER! But Darth Maul and his awesome fight saved the film for me. If you want to know a bad Star Wars film episode 2, good lord episode 2. (Most of the prequels are weak)

Darth Maul was great, I love the Sith. I even love his background in some of the expanded universe.

Actually due to a mere technicality, Episode II was a pentalogy.

Am I the only one who likes Episode One? The only reason why it gets a lot of hate is because it has to live up the original Star Wars films, which is practically impossible. If it didn't have that kind of name attached to it, changed some stuff and created it's own kind of movie, it probably would have been much more accepted as it's own film by science fiction fans. I'm not saying that it's a good film; it's decent, but it's very watchable.

And yeah, Darth Maul is awesome, but I absolutely hate those Brisk commercials for the film promotion. TOO MUCH GAG WRITING!

Not a fan of Episode I or 3D here, but from the few minutes I saw (I work at a cinema and creeped into the theater) the 3D actually looks pretty nice. I was pleasantly surprised. Excited to go see it, haha.

    My friend owns the movie.

I tried to watch it with him, but 30 minutes into the movie we fell asleep. This was a long time ago.

I think the movie is good, Jar Jar is annoying, but the movie as a whole is decent enough. Although I didn't see it tonight because it sold out like crazy. ._. I assume work was chaotic for you Misty?

    This.

I don't know why Ep. 1 gets so much hate. It was a great movie. (And every time I see it with Liam Neeson as Qui-Gon, I think of a future version of Taken.)

It actually wasn't so bad for Star Wars, which should tell you a lot about how unfortunate the tastes of the American public is today. Our showings of Journey 2 sold out like crazy though. :x

Episode I isn't really a bad movie, it just completely pales in comparison to the original trilogy. I think everyone can agree that Jar Jar is terrible, and the attempts at humor were just so... I don't even know how to describe it. The lines & humorous scenes in the original ones were a bit cheesy as well, but it's almost juvenile in the prequels. Droids hitting each other, Jar Jar, Gungans being incompetent, etc. The sort of things that four year olds find funny.
And even though Episode II is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me, the acting is downright horrible.

So for a brief moment I was very confused as to why I was hitting someone...xD

That is disappointing, you could have taken some of the people who were at my theater. I expected it to be kinda crowded, but it was crazy how fast it sold out. We had no problem with the Lion King or B&B, just goes to show the following Star Wars has.
As for the humor I agree, movies around the time of the first Star Wars were always cheesy like that, but what they tried with some of the prequels was wrong. All I can think of with Jar Jar is, "MISA GONNA GET SHOT."
    Episode II was okay, I loved Count Dooku..and the whole scene with the coliseum. As for the rest of it I actually can't remember much..all I know is that I was torn up for poor Boba Fett. ;_;

That's the thing, the cheesy quality that the originals had to them worked for them. The prequels, on the other hand, were just bizarre and occasionally uncomfortable to watch.

I really really adore the arena scene actually. :x And Kamino entertains me. Plus Natalie Portman is a goddess. <3 But the dialogue is often laughably bad and Hayden Christensen is just... terrible.

Natalie Portman is amazing...I love her<3
As for Christensen, he looked constipated half the time, and the freak outs he had with the jedi order always made me cringe. Had Samuel L. Jackson baped him upside the head a few times we'd have never had Darth Vader(tis why we had to live with him as is).
Don't need to start on Episode III...Psssh, hubby turned to the Darkside? Have fun babysittin Obi. And General Grievous...gawd I loved him, but his whole scene was disappointingish.

Jar Jar was acting in stead of Padmé. She appointed him in Episode II when she had to go into hiding, don't remember exactly why he still had a place in the Senate in Episode III as Padmé had returned to her position at that point. I'm guessing he was elected as a representative or something, don't know exactly. He was the one who brought forth the proposition to vote emergency powers to Palpatine, essentially being a factor in the crumbling of the Old Republic.
