Kingdom Hearts Staff, Sword, or Sheild?

What did you pick, I'm having trouble picking. I have my handy dandy guide, but I'm having thoughts . . . . . . .

 

i either go with sword or shield =/ i rarely use magic cept for curaga

 

If you want to start with a balanced character, get the staff and drop the sword.

 

I always choose the sword and drop the shield.

 

If you choose the sword, you'll have high strength; choosing the staff will net you a whole extra MP bar on the side; and choosing the shield will give you high defense.

Defense and strength can be added on with boosts, so I'd choose the staff. You get more magic that way.

I usually choose the staff and ditch the shield.

 

I usually either choose the sword or shield. Depending on what mood I was in, and I once picked the staff. My standby is the sword though.

 

I usually choose the sword since I'm a offensive person. Though it's boost can be given with other boost so the staff might help more. I usally choose ether the sword or staff. It depends on your gamplay style and what type of person you are.

I picked Sword to finish enemys off faster.
They become very hard at the end.

 

I chose the sword.I focus on power.not magic or defense.Most of the time people choose the sword.

 

Well I picked the sword. The only downsides of it is that scan and guard come a bit later, but then the rest is just great.

 

I choosed the shield. That way, you have great defence so you're really tough. I ditch the staff, cos I never really run low on MP. This way, I'm extremely tough. Great defence, good strength, and average MP.

 

I must have picked the staff cause I have enough magic to sink a ship...it's kind of ridiculous.

I chose sword and gave up shield. It was difficult for me in the beginning, but it got better as I went on.

I chose shield once, and it did help for some survivability. I kind of liked this one more because of beter survivability. More HP and defense.

 

I always picked the Shield and dropped the Staff... but there are some interesting things to point out.

As someone said, you can boost Strength and Defense, but not magic. So, Staff is nice to have.

Also, the number of items you can carry is affected. I don't remember how ; I just know that having the Shield yields the maximum amount of items.

In Final Mix, things changed! It might be a good idea to pick the Staff, because you get the awesome Stun Impact and Ripple Drive really early on. By "early on", I mean you can actually leave Destiny Islands with them.
