Spyware program wont open

    Okay, i have spyware doctor, and it runs on the system tray, and auto-scans every once in a while. it usually comes up clean but all of a sudden today it told me i have 170 VIRUSES. But when i tried to open it to delete them...it didn't work. The icon comes up in the taskbar but it WONT OPEN so i cant delete the viruses. I seriously have no idea what to do, someone help, please.

    Is it a free trial? I've heard of free trial spyware removers that will tell you you've got eleventy-billion viruses on the computer, but you can't remove them unless you buy the full version.

    Other than that, try getting AVG or Avast. Spybot:Search and Destory is good too (and free)

    Not a free trial, its a paid version of SD, but I guess i'll try those if i cant get this fixed...

    thanks guys for your help, but i uninstalled in and reinstalled it and that worked fine xD
