    Okay , here is an image of my chest with quite a few spots round about the middle. The spots are inside where the necklace is on my chest.

    The reason I've made this post is because these spots have been irritating me for around a month or so now. They are hurting my chest frequently throughout the day , you can just faintly see them in the picture , there about 6 of them clustered together and i'm not sure wether i should be worried about them , if their something bad. or they'll just go in time.

    Any idea's KHV?

    Well, I'm no doctor, but it may be a very mild form of eczema. But I could be wrong. Or it may be just a small (simple) irritation on your skin. It's hard to tell from the picture. Regardless, if you have been scratching it, STOP. Even if it itches severely. The number one reason an irritation takes so long to heal is because it's hard to resist scratching the itch. You can try using moisturizing [hydrating] cream (non-scented or non-perfumed and etc). Basically, don't use anything fancy. Chemicals in them can worsen the irritation if it reacts in the wrong way. You can try this method and see if the spots lessen over few days, if not...I'd recommend you see your regular doctor and see what he/she suggests.

    i don't think it is eczema , eczema is more red. but the spots do hurt my chest a lot. my mom gave me a cream to put on them. but since they severely hurt from time to time , i wanted to know if they look like anything serious. sorry for the unclear picture. But i think you can see the spots a bit. as i said their inside where the necklace is around the chest. I thought it might be something serious because , as i said they do tend to cause me pain from time to time.

    Not a doctor here either, but related to one and as an elementary teacher I get enough lectures every so often from the school nurse.

    Try using a soap or body wash designed for sensitive skin. It could just simply be that the perfumes in regular stuff might be irritating the skin, and since I see quite a bit of hair there it probably lingers there for quite some time. If you use the hypoallergenic stuff for a few days and it doesn't look better, see a doctor. They might refer you to a dermatologist.

    It could very well be eczema, which is easily treated with creams and lotions. Worse case scenario is you'll end up with what a dormie I knew in college had, which was psoriasis. I doubt it's that; while she had it on her neck, the area would get red and inflamed, itch, and flake. It was awful stuff. It doesn't sound like your case is that way. But it should still get looked at, just to be safe.

    Ah, I see...(no worries about the pic, I do see the cluster, more or less) but if it's come to the point of causing such pain, I'd assume that it's probably time to see your doctor. Maybe it was something simple as an irritation, but if it's lingered for month+ then it's out of your hands. Maybe Neosporin (if it's available to you that is) can help, as I've seen it work on many forms of wounds and irritations.

    Well my mom also gave me some erythromycin that is supposed to be taken in conjunction with the cream put over the chest. So from the suggestions , i will try the cream and erythromycin daily and if the spots haven't cleared up or shown any signs of clearing up. i will see a doctor.

    That and don't scratch. That will really mess it up. Good luck...

    Well, I am a nursing student but I couldn't really tell what it looks like. But if this is occurring for months then it might be something (not to scare you off or anything lol). Does the one your mother gave you help at all? The only clue i have is being clustered and pain. Are these raised? I see there's like a black spot in the middle? are these open lesions? are they itchy at certain time or just whenever? It might be a virus or some sort. :)

    Like everyone said, refrain from scratching. This might kind of obvious but I'll say it anyhow, wash your hands as often as possible :D kk..

    Had another thought: have you tried any anti-fungal creams yet? I did a little poking around and found ringworm could also be a possibility. Any place that is warm and moist is a perfect spot for fungi, like jock itch or athlete's foot. Those spots are how ringworm tends to present itself, and they're typically in a circle-shaped pattern. Since it can occur anywhere on the body, I'd say this is a good second guess.

    Try some Lotrimin or Tinactin, anything anti-fungal.

    I haven't tried any anti-fungal cream no , but this cream my mom gave me last night and the erythromicin tablets taken in conjunction does seem to ease the pain. I don't know if it's a placebo effect. But the pain has eased quite a bit since i began using the cream , if it hasn't cleared up by the end of half term then I'll either have to try out the anti-fungal cream or see the doctor.

    and @ StVen

    as i stated before , these spots don't tend to itch. They begin to cause me pain and i rub them lightly to try ease the pain. ^^;

    ^Nice catch, I completely forgot about that. Sometimes certain metals used in jewelry can be irritating to skin.
