They're calling it Disney's first Marvel casualty.
I actually liked the show. I'm still on the fence of calling it the "best" Spider-man adaptation, but it was definitely on its way.

Anyway, they're doing a new series based on Ultimate Spider-Man. Supposed to air next year.

I'm hearing rumours of it following "Batman: Brave and Bold" schematics with Spidey teaming up with different heroes. Since everything I know about comics are from the web, I don't know too much about what it'll actually be about. Although I'm hoping Iceman and Johnny Storm are avid characters (But that might be too much like Spiderman and his Amazing Friends).

Anyways, I've never read comics, just read online about them and I do like the Ultimate series so I hope it'll be alright.

Thoughts on Disney's "first Marvel casualty?"

Also, Wolverine and the X-men are also canceled, but Iron Man: Armored Adventures and The Super Hero Squad Show are getting more episodes.

Spectacular Spider Man wasn't the best adaption imo but I liked watching the older episodes while Disney XD was still Jetix (a.k.a. better) and I loved it a lot. Ultimate Spider Man will probably be something worth checking out and when the first episode airs i'm probably gonna watch it a few times. The concept of it being the marvel version of Batman the brave and the bold really isn't a good idea for me. I didn't like batman too much but if they can get it right then it'd be a show worth following. On another note Iron Man armored adventures is one of the worst adaptions of any marvel series i've ever seen. Wolverine and the X-Men was alright though. I loved the concept of getting them back together and saving the future but a lot of the good shows get canceled nowadays.

I'm still mad they canceled Spectacular Spider-Man. The Interwebz went into outrage when this was announced. Yeah, Marvel dropped the ball on this one. I like Iron Man: AA and I'm glad it's getting more episodes but I would've chosen Spec Spidey over IronMan AA anyday to continue.

I honestly wasn't a HUGE fan of Spectacular Spider-Man. I still found it enjoyable anyhow.

As for this, it looks pretty good. I hope this particular Spider-Man actually has a bit of a "darkness" to it. Not in the sense of Batman "dark" but, it has more of an atmospheric mood to it.
I can't wait to see the new villains...

EDIT: I've always wanted to see the blue part of Spider-Man's costume in black.

imo They cancel the good shows and continue that terrible ones? Typical. It sounds like Disney really is working with them.
I'm not thrilled with the 'Brave and the Bold' move either, I mean Batman:BatB is a decent show in its own right but it's formula gets really tiring.

Spectacular Spiderman was okay. I loved the theme song.

I don't really like Iron Man:AA, I just don't like the style of the animation and every episode is just a huge cliche. I did kinda like Wolverine and the X-Men, because it was pretty dark, especially the later episodes. I think the best Spidey series for me is the one from the '90s. Also, SuperHero Squad Show is crap, the only good thing about it is it made history class fun when our teacher had nothing planned so she just turned on the tv. It was fun because the show is so ridiculous it's great to make fun of.

I'm kinda sad they canceled Spectacular, but maybe Ultimate will be cool.

I liked Spectacular Spider-Man but thanks to the owners loosing the right to continue the series we have a new one. Yay ._.
And please tell me it's not gonna have the same animation as Iron Man: AA? I don't mind the show, but the animation like that is off putting to me.

Anyone noticed how they seem to be trying to boost the image of the Ultimate timelines? I only just saw the two Ultimate Avengers movies the other day and realised that even the recent movies are bending towards the Ultimate stuff.

Well, I guess Spectacular Spiderman was okay, but I didn't really want it to end either. Actually, I never even watched the show myself, regardless of how television has become. But I heard it was a good show, so it's really sad how good shows are ending already. I hate this is going to end up like Batman:B&B. I mean, it's a good show, but I hate how it's always the same thing over and over again. I do hope that this show might not end up CG again. I'm actually getting tired with all the CG series coming up. I don't particularly hate them, but I'm getting tired of seeing CG series.
