I'd just like to know what is considered Spam anymore? I've been seeing a lot of it flying around the forums, I won't point any fingers, and I'm curious. To what extent do you have to strain yourself in making a post anymore? I'm almost positive I could reply with a three word post, randomly choosing words from the dictionary, and it would be looked over. I'm sorry if I offend anyone. It just really gets to me. So honestly, what is KHV's modern definition of a spam post?
A post that neither contributes to the discussion (applied in all sections save the Spam Zone), along with something inappropriate, contains sensitive information (phone numbers or something), et cetera. I'm assuming you mean posts in the Spam Zone specifically, along with fad threads. Whereas we do not mind you having fun, there should always be discretion in the back of your mind. Fads die out in due time (hopefully), but keep in mind that excess thread making can clutter up the boards and cause frustration from other members. Basically if you feel like you're making too many threads in a short amount of time, ya probably should pull back on the throttle. Hope that makes sense.
Close, actually I've been seeing a lot of Spam on the "posts count" forums, or at least what I'd assume to be Spam. I don't mind the Spamzone, that's where I have all my fun. But reading through general forums, etc, and finding Spam confuses me a bit. I was wondering if the rules on Spam had been lightened a bit. It probably shouldn't bother me, as bad as it does, but I can't help but feel that way when I see, what looks to me like, a blatant Spam post getting by.
As far as I know, the definition of spam hasn't changed. If you stumble upon a post that you believe to be spam which hasn't been taken care of already, that is what the report function is for. c: Generally, if the post is on topic, but lacks any original thought and does not contribute to the thread, we are likely to give the member a chance to add more substance to their post before it is outright deleted.
