I like this actually. It isn't to complicated but it isn't boring.

You're definitely showing improvement. It's a pretty solid composition so there's not much to critique imo. It's got good depth and flow and you did a nice job at blending the render. Text isn't too bad as well but it looks like you use the same font in all of your sigs. Don't be afraid to experiment. I don't really like the colors but that's more a matter of taste I guess

Only part I dont really like is the text, its too bright compared to the rest of it.

You did a good job. Like Luxord said, it's simple but it isn't boring either. There's nothing wrong with simplicity. In fact, sometimes it looks better than the most complex things. Overall great job as always, Jay!

    Everyone's right, you're progressing very quickly. =]

I think my biggest issue here is the colors. I like that you're playing around with adjustment layers and the like, but one thing you should be wary of is making it purely two colors, which you kind of have going on right now (albeit in different shades). It's fine to modify colors, but be watchful of it. That's why it's important to consider your colors early on in the signature making process. Colors should enhance the signature, not be the focus, at least not in a tag that has effects as busy as this one.

I do think you should play with flow, too--consider the movement of the stock, and try to incorporate that into the effects. This is especially important with stocks that are in action poses, like the one you used--it can add a dramatic element to what the stock is doing.

Reading some basic composition tutorials is what I recommend for pretty much everyone. My method of improving my work has always been imitation, too. Take a look at the signatures you like, the ones that catch your eye. Begin to question why, and try to incorporate the same fundamental idea into your own tags.

    Nice work, though!
