Kingdom Hearts II Sora or Mickey

By now do you think Riku is better friends with Sora or Mickey?



I think Mickey, because mickey helped Riku defeat the darkness in his heart and helped him finde the light.

 

Hard to say, but I'm going to have to go with Sora. He fought the hardest to get Riku back, even if Riku didn't want to be found most of the time.

I'd have to go with Sora. Riku and Mickey are good pals now, but Riku and Sora have got the history. Besides, to me it seems as if most of the struggle between light and dark Riku endured was for the protection of Sora.

 

I think Mickey because through most of the game, Riku was a jerk to Sora.

 

yes! he is so mean to Sora, but never mean to mickey! even in kh2 he picks on Sora but never on Mickey!

Sora: childhood friends; looked for each other when separated in diff. worlds

Mickey: Came to Riku's aid for like 20 mins...

I'm not saying Mickey's bad in any way. I just think Sora has a better friendship with Riku.

 

My point exactly, Riku acted more of a jock and a jerk to Sora, but really opened his heart to Mickey, always keeping secrets from Sora.

 

Meh, i'm going with Sora.
Riku and Mickey are alright but Mickey wasn't there the whole time for Riku.
Mickey didn't have to go through the whole best friend leaving for darkness and never knowing if you were going to see them the same again...
Sora has been through nearly everything with Riku and may not know everything, but he can tell either way.
And friends pick on each other, its what they do...XD

 

I would have to have a draw for this one. Sora and Mickey are not in comparision but more like contrasting. The relationships between them and Riku are very different so I can't really choose one. Riku and Sora are total buddies for years and that causes a very deep connection between them. But because they've been around so long, they both know each other weaknesses and strengths and such. For Mickey and Riku, Mickey seemed more like an aiding friend. Mickey has only known Riku for a year but Mickey knows Riku in terms of his darkness and light and how Mickey can relate. Sora knows him more of his personality and friendship between him so Sora can relate to that.

That's how I see it anyway. =\

 

I'd say Sora because Riku would do anything to wake Sora up in Kh2. And they are choldhood friends so that's why Riku picks on Sora and not Mickey because they have a closer bond.

 

wow... this was a tough one... but i'd have to go with sora on this one... mickey helped riku A LOT theres no doubt about that... but riku sacrified evrything he had for sora... so sora tops this one.

 

The two of them are both very 'masculine' on their out look on friendships so I think it's safe to assume that any teasing done to either of them from the other is done as a way of expressing their friendship. And also Mickey is KING Mickey and like Riku is going to pick on a King.

 

I can't believe this is debated o.O. While, yes, Riku and Mickey bonded and have a friendship in the way of Sora, Donald, and Goofy, I don't think is that deep enough like what Sora and Riku have. They went through every obstacle, their friendship had flaws, like pride, competitive nature, envy, but in the end, they grew out of it all, talked about it when they were stuck in the dark beach in KH2, etc., so the relationship is more stronger than ever now that they've passed that phase of the insecurities that they had of the other. Sora even broke down in his knees crying, while Riku was hidden and helping Sora on his own because he didn't want his friend to look at what he became (Riku even went to help Diz and got Roxas for him, in the hopes Sora will awaken faster). He regrets what he did in KH1, he knew it was wrong, and went to redeem himself...and he did, by battling the darkness inside him and taking control of it, and pushing away Heartless Ansem. Do I need to go through CoM?

I personally think Mickey is more like a guidance, someone Riku can take advice from and trust to that point of level, and as a travelling companion that he can have from time to time, that he cares for, but I can never think it is as strong as the connection to Sora, they've known each other since they were kids, perhaps in the time of diapers even.

its sora, i think. Riku went into his ansem form to defeat roxas which would ultimately help sora in the end, annnd riku sacrificed himself after getting hit in the face to save sora. to me, that was kind of like a redeeming moment after all the bad things riku did in kh1...and u cant say riku had a friendship with mickey, i mean, he looked for him in castle oblivion, but until the very end of the game he finally stopped calling him "you majesty."
No, mickey was more like a tutor or a mentor to riku who helped him see the light and gave him a second chance sora was a true friend.

How is this even a debate? Who would you be better friends with? Someone you spent a year with? Or someone whom you spent a lifetime with?

I'd have to say the obvious answer for this one is Sora. Riku and Sora were best friends ever since childhood. Throughout both games, all that was on Sora's mind was looking for Riku and Kairi- He looked everywhere for Riku. Sora's reaction when he found Riku was to cry. Riku and Sora survived many battles together, and Riku was willing to give up his own body because he thought it would help wake up Sora. Mickey and Riku are still friends, but just because Riku made a new friend doesn't mean he isn't friends with Sora.
