I hope its the discs that work and not some download scheme, I don't want to download all my games when I have a collection sitting in my cupboard upstairs.
I have this stupid hope that it'll be region free, but that will never happen. Might as well shoot me now, before I get ahead of myself. In any case, I'm not buying a PS3 until (if?) this is implemented in the latest models... Not having backwards compatibility would be nightmarish for me =/ First I held off for price drops, now the only thing that's keeping me from considering one might be fixed... Can't get much better than that I suppose.
