The next Sonic game is known as Lost World and looks better than what Sonic has been delivering lately. A gameplay trailer was released for the 3DS version of the game. Not sure if the WiiU version gameplay trailer has been released or not but I am still searching. Now to the video:
I really want people to stop saying 3D Sonic can't work and I really really want this to be the game that makes them stop Ugh, it really does look like a ton of fun. And I'm glad that at least the level we've seen isn't designed to be blown through at non-stop break-neck speed; that was one of my only issues with Sonic Generations. It's nice in small doses, but it's nicer when you have to earn it by deftly navigating the environment and maintaining momentum through different obstacles.
Here is some WiiU gameplay. It shows three levels; One from Windy Hill and two from Desert Ruins. The audio from the game itself is kinda quiet, as there is an IGN rep talking to a Dev during the video. How the game plays is explained as well as how the different levels work. Personally, I think this game could be the one that truly brings Sonic's reputation out of the rut that it's been in. Colors and Generations were good, but I have a feeling Lost Worlds will be excellent.
GOD IT LOOKS SO BEAUTIFUL I JUST PLEASE LET IT BE AS GOOD AS IT LOOKS MY HEART CAN'T TAKE IT IF IT'S NOT ;_; ARE YOU BACK SONIC ARE YOU HERE TO STAY DON'T SCREW WITH ME Goofy name aside, I like the idea behind the Parkour system. And the faithfulness to divergent paths is of course a plus for me. Not to mention the more precise controls, the secrets... Ugh this game. It's like if Jesus went "Guys it's ok, I'm on the way," and I'm just sitting here going IT BETTER NOT BE A HOAX.
I'm very excited for the game. The fact that I'll be getting the 3DS version and it doesn't look very watered-down is also a bonus. And I'm glad we'll be seeing the wisp powers returning for the game.
