YES! Same with the second one. That's why I got Sonic Mega Collection Plus for the PS2, since we sold my Genesis and all the games when we got a PS1.

Lucky. I only got the one for gamecube.

Sonic 1 was total kickass. I could never win it though xD

I did use level selcet(SP?) once, I fought the final boss and I kept getting smashing by the pillar things xD

I can beat them both, but I could never get all the emeralds. Although I always had a cheat to get them all in 2 and a cheat that let you spawn rings anywhere so all I had to do was spawn 50 rings with the all emeralds cheat on and then collect them and jump. Vioala! Instant Super Sonic! It was great for the last level, since there are no rings at all and you had to fight two bosses. I loved racing out as SS as it was exploding. I remember in the Genesis version, when I escaped as SS and fell through space, at some point I went back to normal and grabbed Tails's plane just in time. But when I played it on the PS2, he stayed SS and flew with the plane.

Sonic 2 kicks ass also, but not as much as Sonic 1 (in my opinion)

I like 2 better simply because it has Super Sonic. I love SS in 2. I also love how in both games, if you go really fast and spin off of a ramp-like hill, you go impossibly fast and end up going off-screen. The only time I hated that is when it ended up killing you.

yea, I hate it when you die and you cant see where you are... it sucks... I have also found a number of glitches in Sonic 2, like you can fall through the ground and walk into walls...

Well, some of the levels have hidden openings in the walls where you can find rings and stuff, so it's not really a glitch.

I remember once I was playing it and I became SS. I accedentally fell into an extremely deep pit of spikes and all I could do was wait for my SS status to go away and I would die.

yea, I know about the hidden openings, I mean these are like actual glitches in the game, like there is one on the hill zone where you can just spin under the ground....

    lol, that sucks...

Oh, I didn't know about those.

Yeah. But I love how you could put Sonic & Knuckles in attatched to 2 and play it as Knuckles. They had like extra lives up where only Knuckles could reach them and I loved just gliding around as him. I could never get very far, though. And I was always only renting it. I know you can play it as Knuckles in the Mega Collection Plus, but you need to unlock it and I haven't done that yet.

I actully made a few codes for the classic genesis sonic series. (they use the same engine so the codes work on all of them D: ) But I havent found out how to convert the format into something useable by game genie and such so im stuck with codes I cant give out.

Tho heres a teaser just cause I can:
